Hi Jami and Zeb! I've been in the quilting world, growing up Mennonite. We have monthly sewing circles at church! What you call a tie quilt is a comforter with tied knots. A 14:37 quilt has hand stitching. Just a note that I noticed. We make lots of comforters in the fall for less fortunate people through missions! I'm glad you are rescuing these and aphgans and people are buying them!

We call it a tie quilt here in Utah. It is a pieced quilt on the top and held together with the ties. ❤️

I am Mennonite in Kansas. Love using thrifted fabric to make comforter tops that we tie to complete. Like that Jamie and Zeb are saving things made by hand that were made with love.

I think the value village here is hoarding the Christmas. I’ve been there since after Halloween searching and nothing. They are going to miss the window and be stuck with it all next year. I have a set of the little ceramic bunny shakers. When you have two, they hug each other. They belonged to my grandmother and I used to play with them like toys when I visited her as a child. It must have been the beginning of my “bunny and all things cute” obsession. So sad your bunny has lost his friend. But he still reaches out in hope of a hug. I am sure he will find a great new home.
