Fair play to the guy for going out and enjoying his car, even professional racing drivers crash so he doesn't really have to be embarrassed about.

Definitely good to see a sports car being enjoyed on a racetrack, it’s not my intention to embarrass him (hence I blurred the number plate) and if he can afford to write off a DB11 then good for him!

Love how you closed right up from 0:18 onward after he blew by you on the straight. All of human competition is some combination brain and brawn, I just love that car racing leans towards the brain part, while being a whole lot more spectacular than chess.

It was surreal, the car must have been doing about 50-60mph when it went into the tyre wall... you can actually see it lift off the ground from the impact. At least the occupants were ok, aside from a bruised ego I suspect...

@@JTV84 there’s no easy way to position the microphone for induction noise, as I’m running the stock airbox. Plus most people seem like the exhaust pops, which I think pairs well with the footage 😊

As long as he's not driving like a doughnut on the road, it's fine to have fun with these toys where everyone agrees to the game. Better to write-off a car on a track than to prang or even harangue the innocent bloke popping up Woolworths. Goodwood is now a no-go, though.

Cheap views 😂 You ok hun? It’s not on every track day that you see a big crash, hence the reason for posting… this sort of footage also helps people to learn from other’s mistakes which in this case was braking way too late / not driving with a suitable margin of safety on a non-competitive event.

Bit harsh to say the guy has no talent judging on getting one corner wrong. Racing drivers (from club Karters all the way up to F1 drivers) all make braking errors during their careers but that isn’t what defines their talent.
