I think it’s stunning however it’s so wide that everyday driving in the country is just too scary! Rather than drawing copious analogies, could we draw some conclusions...? Personally the estate never died, RS made sure of that and Merc and BMW have made the greatest on the planet. The new M3 Estate will be a true giant amongst the last ICE cars.

I have a tuned RS6 C7 which I absolutely love (in the limited way that word may be used to describe one's positive sentiment towards dead materia such as an automobile...); it is insanely fast for a big estate, but of course it doesn't provide the same level of handling and driving pleasure as my second car (a 718 Cayman GTS 4.0, which I wholeheartedly enjoy just as much). If these two cars would have a baby together (metamorphically speaking of course :-), I'm sure that car would both look and perform exactly like the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo!
@martinofleeds4 ай бұрын
The GTS Taycan is a better drivers car than the C7 RS6. I’ve 4 years of driving the RS6 & 1 year of the GTS. I’ve back to backed, both and it’s sad to say, for me the EV has the ICE. That EV & That ICE, both are top table estates, chalk & cheese personalities. The Porsche is soulless, The Audi, like yours, it’s tuned , this one to 740bhp. It’s all pops bangs farts & whistles. Real character….
@MW_SE4 ай бұрын
@@martinofleeds Thanks for the comment! I recently sold the RS6 and bought a Taycan GTS Sport Turismo instead, but I immediately felt that it actually replaced the Cayman GTS 4.0 more than it replaced the RS6 (as I had intended) - so I ended up instead selling the Cayman GTS and buying back the RS6 (which has now been in my possession for ten years, minus the 49 days it had just spent at the dealership; they put a big price tag on it and fortunately still had it when I inquired about it :-). Just like you write, the Taycan GTS is much more of a driver's car than the RS6, but the RS6 (to me) has all the personality that the Taycan lacks. The RS6 weighs 2.010 kg while the Taycan weighs 2.470 kg, yet the latter feels twice as nimble in the curves (mainly due to the lower center of gravity and better longitudinal weight distribution), while the former (tuned) feels twice as fast on the straights. There is however now a tune available from HGP that gives the Taycan GTS >800 PS / 1.050 NM...

It is a lovely car, but it is small for an estate car and tiny compared to an SUV. I can get golf clubs, electric trolley and road bike into my Cayenne with ease - I cannot get a road bike into a Taycan estate without removing both wheels and the seat post! There simply isn't enough room. So unfortunately it is not for me. Come on Porsche - improve the packaging!
