Nice Kubota. I have a 4200 and it does EVERYTHING I ask it to do 95 model and I've had absolutely no problems at all with it. I know yours is a absolute beast!!👍💯

Very cool. I need one of those planes that's Sized for Quad. I could get a ton of work done with that 👍👍

Incredible tool that can pay for itself and then some! We lived in an area with clay and silty soil that was like concrete when it was dry and soup when wet. We could literally watch the gravel sink whenever the snow melted or heavy rains came. I’d be out there with a land planner as soon as it was dry enough. A load of gravel every year, land planner and tractor was less than half the price of having the driveway redone correctly. There were times I cleaned up the driveway every week but it only took 10 - 20 minutes. Driveway we have now only needs it once or twice a year but I also do the road so that makes up for it 😎

Crushed Limestone over a year or two of getting driven on crushes down further to a powder. Then a cloud of dust follows the vehicle. I used the crushed limestone on my 1300 foot driveway because it cost half the price of 57 rock and I thought it looked nicer and would be smoother. It is but did not last. It has ended up as a nice base for next layer but until I pave it or regravel, it has a washboard effect now in spots.

Fantastic overhead clips with the drone. I could clearly see how you touched up the edges.

Couple of things ... 1) Truly wish GWT or someone would publish a list of HP (PTO) requirements for the various ground engaging implements. I was in the market for a land plane and was fortunate enough I. That my dealer let try a 60 and a 72 BEFORE laid any cash out. Glad he did as the 72 was a bit more than my 35HP (30 PTO) was comfortable with. 2) I added length - front to back - to the sides of my land plane. The added length helps with smoothing out gravel over choppy surfaces. 3) Hydraulic Top Link is a game changer. Keep up the great videos.

Based on your land plan vs box blade video, I purchased a land plane. Haven't used it yet, waiting on my hydraulic top link (another thing you recommended). This video was very timely for me and will help me when I head out to use it for the 1st time.

Have you heard of adding Portland cement to a crushed stone driveway? Did mine and has now turned into nearly concrete.

I just love how the driveway looks after using a land plane. I just use mine in the Spring and middle of the summer, I've neve wanted to use it in the fall because it would not have enough time to pack down for winter plowing.

That's one of the problems we have here. The HOA is responsible for road maintenance and they grade the roads spring and fall. They just graded it today with over an inch of rain in the forecast with a few inches of snow to follow. I'm glad I had my land roller to go pack it down a bit before the rain hit.

Kubota and Kioti tractors are brothers that split off to their separate companies just like Triumph and BSA motorcycles did.

Road fabric dosnt stop weed growth it helps spread the load on the sub surface by not allowing the sub surface to mix with the road material.

I have not yet bought a land plane - that is my next purchase. I always assumed that the angle of the blades was designed to move gravel from the right side towards the left side (as facing the front). That would mean that if I want to maintain the crown, I should work the land plane along the right side of the road. Am I correct? This suggests that you were taking off the crown intentionally?

Add a hydraulic top link. You can really dial in the material distribution on the fly.

Courtney, if you have 6 to 8 in of gravel on the driveway, why does it appear that you're pulling up dirt in the crown area so soon after building the road? I would assume you'd be pulling gravel only, no dirt.

Their crusher run type stone is a brown rock not Grey like alot of areas so the powder on it is brown and ues it does look like dirt

I don’t get it. New to tractors and gravel roads. So you have a nice gravel road and at the end of the video it’s pretty much back to a dirt. What is the point of doing this? Do you need to bring in more gravel now?
@Wakeywhodat10 ай бұрын
The dirt will settle in after a rain or two.

Too bad you could set up a couple of mirrors for the rear of the tractor so you don't have to turn your head so often.

@@Wakeywhodat- the camera would help some, but flares things out. You would still have to look once in a while. Put the camera to the front?? Then you will be turned but not acting as if your head is on a swivel😂😂. Take care, Eh!
