The BFS is newer tech in baitcasters and this is the cheapest one from Shimano so the main alternative is a spinning combo for the budget

@Michael Robert that's how I used to do it, but any rod over 7ft I would have to bend to make it fit. however I discovered that when I fold down my rear seats, I can put them in the trunk and have them come up to the center console. still would be much easier with a bigger car lol
