Bfs is so much fun. I'm a bank fisherman and alot of ponds and lakes i fish are really pressured and those finnesse lures catch them. Have you tried the 2.5 yamatanuki?i have been doing good with it

@@TheUltralightLife Okay ... what brand? no offense i'm asking you this, because a lot people always ask for advice for "BEST BFS ROD", then i tell them and then their reply is "that's too expensive for me" lol; and that just waste my time
@yep.fishing Жыл бұрын
I agree its not ultralight, im not thowing less than a 1/20 on BFS. To me its strengths will shine when im fishing land based in amongst trees. I think Dobyms might be trying to get more into yu Aussie msrket. A popular youtiber did a review and he said it waa given to him by Pro Staff

Some dudes really throw 1 gram lures bro lol. There’s a lot of aftermarket mods, hyper light spools, etc to take a bfs reel to new territory. But at the end of the day I’m cool with using my ultralight rods under 3 grams. I like my ability to pitch light baits on spinning. How are you liking your new bfs setup
@yep.fishing Жыл бұрын
@@TheUltralightLife yea some guys have thrown trout magnets on the reel I have, it's one of the lightest spools. I struggle throwing them but I have a .8g low end casting and they are using the .3 kuying teton. I do want to try that though to see what the difference is
@TheUltralightLife Жыл бұрын
@@yep.fishing light braid too I’m assuming?
@yep.fishing Жыл бұрын
@@TheUltralightLife 6lb J braid. I might try taking some off the spool though, I pretty much filled it.
@TheUltralightLife Жыл бұрын
@@yep.fishing yeah too much line weighs it down too! Some bass pros here only fill their spool 2/3 when running heavier lines. On bfs rod I only do 50 yards. I may try some light braid eventually but I’m loyal to my other lines lol

Nice looking outfit! Thinking next year for a setup, for now using spinning outfits!

Thanks! I love spinning reels the most, but sometimes a baitcast reel shines. What application are you looking for outfit wise for the next one? I find good deals often with seasonal sales or buying from Japan

Tournaments do not deplete lakes of fish as they are almost always always always catch, take to weigh in and released.
@TheUltralightLife Жыл бұрын
You must not see how many dead fish wash up after major professional tournaments. Ask the locals at Lake Chickamauga, Lake Champlain, Table rock lake etc. do you really think stressing a fish out in a small livewell all day, throwing them in a bag, carrying them around and showing them off is good for their health? As a former aquarium enthusiast, I can tell you the answers.
@xDx0xUxGx10 ай бұрын
It's not just about whether or not the fish survive the tournament. The excess fishing pressure is the main problem.
