Sometimes I wish I could live forever just to see the growth of technology over time, seeing it advancing so fast in such a period like this really excites me. This is a good time to be alive.

With the coming era of Nanotechnology, it may be possible to live forever if accidents don't kill either of us within the next 50 years or so.
@tdo0msday10 жыл бұрын
martin kleiven Right! Thanks for reminding me of that. (Though, you mean Nanobiotechnology, a mix of nanotech and biotech.) And true, immortality still depends a lot on whether you are done in by physical trauma or not and when, and the odds get greater the longer you live, so only biological immortality is not enough if someone wants to live forever. It's still hopeful though, as if we only want to live longer, then we're already able to do that. Well, again, this all relies on where you stand in society. Things are much easier when you're rich. That said, my primary focus from now on will probably be health and money. :D

I've fixed the part where I may die of physical injury. I simple make a couple clones, place them in different regions of the world (If a nuclear attack ever strikes at one place) and when I'm injured I transfer my consciousness to one of the clones. The clones will also be going through gene therapy so if I ever cut myself I'll heal like Wolverine!
@tdo0msday10 жыл бұрын
That only raises another big question of identity. Some would argue that clone with your consciousness is just a copy of you and that wouldn't be you; for example what if you accidently transfer your consciousness to several of the clones at one time? Especially if you haven't died. Who would be the real you? Of course you are you, but are those clones also you?
@tdo0msday10 жыл бұрын
But still, it would be incredibly cool to just hide several of your clones in the bush, then tell your friends to show up, then shout "Kage bunshin no Jutsu!!" then out jumps the bunch of clones. :D

why cant we just get our initial GPS location and the target location, turn off gps and use a motion sensor to tell use exactly where we are on the display?
@peterhindes568 жыл бұрын
the motion sensor is not that acurate
@MrLerouxg8 жыл бұрын
Motion sensors measure acceleration not position. If you just differentiate to get position you will quickly accumulate a drift.. Not very accurate at all

The privacy implications of this will lead us users to deliberately block these mapping features on our phones ¿who would want google (v.g. Government agencies) having the layout of the inside of their homes??
@socore31978 жыл бұрын
That was the very first thing that came to my mind as well, like there aren't already enough privacy violations with the tools and apps already being used.
@peterhindes568 жыл бұрын
it would probably be stored locally if enough concern is voiced, something like apples fingerprint security chip, but that defeats the purpose of having enormously detailed maps of the entire world, basically with that type of info, one could create a model of the world, and a fairly accurate one at that, but if you wanted, you could probably opt out of it in specified locations or all together eg, don't map interiors, or things in this specified area and what not.
@TheUnlocked8 жыл бұрын
The government can already get that if they want. All they need is a warrant.

I agree, but when google has cars taking pics of our streets, houses, inside buildings, building plans can be uploaded into programs that render 3d and add satellite like Google Earth. Together it is an invitation for a well planned attack on a person or building. I know from personal experience when I got sick all my students were able 2 find my house the streets I would have 2 take home after my operation. So I was attacked w/love noticing our schools colors flowers randomly on way home then get well signs w/flowers until we turned into last street & students lined streets holding signs then when ambulance pulled into driveway entire house was decorated. ....flip it & too much info on our personal lives were just taken away. Could you imagine a person taking pics of every house on a street then flying a drone over it ...cops would be called in an instant...we instead all saw a Google car w/dome on @ first and all we did was point and say look it's 1 of those google car things....@ time I thought only had 2 do w/maps of streets or public places never Residencial neighborhood

Arcore integrates many of the tango features. Especially if your device contains a time of flight sensor.
@CloroxBleach04 жыл бұрын
@@Trekeyus yeah, but even with a time of flight sensor they are not nearly as good/accurate as tango was. I suppose that it is a lot better in terms of price though

TheMister Shaggy in short, project tango was used in rovers which were sent to Mars . It helped it to recognize the environment and move. So they thought of bringing it for commercial use a and after 15 years, they have finally made it, something way better than Apple ar.
