you mentioned that the security cloud engineer exam is a 6 or a 7 on difficulty, are you saying that the security exam was a 6 o 7 BECAUSE you already have made the network exam? or the security exam its just too easy, i just took this security exam last friday and i passed it, but for me it was significantly more challenging than the associate cloud engineer which i took on may 20 this 2022. Do you think i should take another exam on GCP or do you recommend that i take an AWS or Azure certification exam??

Thanks for watching Eduardo! They’re all challenging… On a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is like the Cloud Practitioner and 10 is the AWS SA Pro, I’d put the security exam at a 6 or 7 because the questions are shorter and the topics are less broad-so you don’t need to know everything about everything. But it was definitely still challenging. Congrats on passing the AWS security cert! What’s your goal with taking certs? A particular job?

@@YannStoneman thank you very much Yann, i agree with you, i think the network exam should be more challenging than the security one, i have studied a little bit of its topics because of the insights you shared and i totally agree with you. the cert i passed its the GCP one, not AWS but i want to broaden my knowledge on cloud tecnologies, because a friend of mine pushed me towards looking for certifications on the cloud and now i want to study a little more so i looked into more information and came across your feedback on the exam. Now i want to know more because i know now that there's a lot out there that i don't know and really want to learn more about all things around the cloud environments and not only about a single cloud, Thanks for taking the time to respond to me and hope you can continue helping all your followers :). P.S. i already have a job in my country, but i'm have my eyes wide open for new oportunities of professional and personal growth :)

@@exploreThe_ hi kumar, i think that you just need to focus on your study on a regular basis, giving it time dayly and consistently. If you are going to start your journey trough GCP, i would advise you to start with the first certification, Associate Cloud Engineer so you have a solid understanding on gcp, and after that you could pursue a professional certification (Developer, DevOps, Data Engineer, ML, Architect, security or google workspace), certainly you can start with a professional one, but it sure makes it more difficult, even so, i think that if you dedicate yourself and study with consistency, you can pass a professional cert, without passing the associate one first. Having said that, i currently studied using the google path online course and the a cloud guru ones, this last one had concepts a little outdated, such as: you should study on your own about VPC Service control perimeters, they still are naming operations as satckdriver (although they work practically the same with a few differences) DLP re-identifying and hashing. i recommend you that you search for as many test exam as you can find and try them, obviously studying the topics you got wrong after each test and take the google test located in its path lastly, take the exam when you have a score of more than 80% on this test. Best of luck!!!!.

@@eduardopantoja8386 Thanks for helping out other folks coming to this channel! :) and sharing your experience. I think you have a good strategy of getting a broad range of cloud certifications under your belt. Doing that certainly helped me, both in terms of knowledge and job advancement.

Wow... that was 4 min of absolutely no information about the exam. Good to hear that you can ask for a bathroom break and could drink coffee - but how does that relate to actual the cloud security engineer side of things?
@YannStoneman Жыл бұрын
Sorry it didn’t help. Did you read Google’s official guide? My goal wasn’t to share the stuff you can get in the official guides but the stuff that was unexpected and that I wasn’t as prepared for.

Hi I am going to take professionl cloud security engineer exam. I have not taken any cloud certification exam previoulsy. Can you please suggest training resources and how much effort should i put in passing this exam. I am a comptia security+ certified. Any suggestions and tips will be appreciated

Hi Youth Manual - I would first take the fundamental and then the associate cloud engineer certification before taking this one. This will help you get the needed context and build up confidence, instead of jumping into the deep end first.

I'm planning to take Google Cloud Security exam. This is the 1st certification that I'll be taking. Do you suggest preparing for Google Cloud Associate exam first and then take this exam?
@YannStoneman2 жыл бұрын
Hi Shipra, thanks for stopping by my channel! Yes, I’d personally always recommend taking the associate (same for AWS) before taking the security specialty. The specialty knowledge party builds upon the foundational knowledge from the associate. And for the real world security jobs, it’s important to have the broader context of the associate.

Is there any free certification course related to this

I'm not a part of these orgs, but I believe every Coursera course has a free option: www.coursera.org/professional-certificates/google-cloud-security
