Google has better research scientists revenue than MS and OpenAI combine, Bard had an Hallucination at the first presentation about an image and the public prejudged Bard for the incident.

Big fan of your products and a very nice presentation. I love my Pixel Phone and my Pixel Watch. I immediately wanted to add the Pixel Tablet, but if you really think I am paying 50% more in the EU than in the US, for the same device, you must be out of your minds. 600 USD (US) vs. 880 USD (EU)... no! Simply no! No! No!

Prices in the US are typically quoted without tax, so the actual purchase cost would be more than 600 USD

@@PotatoSalad11 Oh, you're right. As a non American I tend to forget that prices are without taxes. But still... I highly doubt there will be 50% taxes on the product. It's just so annoying. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect to pay 600 USD over here in Germany. I know it differs a lot depending on where you are. I checked Minnesota area via map and it says it's around 7 to 9 percent taxes. That means around 650 USD after taxes. Please, feel free to let me know if I'm wrong here, I'm really just trying to understand. I would absolutely be willing to pay 700 USD or maybe 720 USD, considering shipment and more taxes. But still... 880 USD?! Also, the same would apply to the Pixel 7a... which is only like 10 or 20 USD more expensive over here with the same starting price. I just don't get it.

@@obibenbinomi1909 Yep really good points. The 7a pricing seems particularly confusing as it's converted at such a different rate! While you're right to say the sales tax in the US can be quite low, I suppose to really compare it you'd need to REMOVE the sales tax from the price that you'd be paying (since Google don't receive the tax). So in Germany that's 19%, so that means an 880 USD sale is about 739 USD for Google, compared to 600 USD in the US. So the actual comparable cost is about 23% higher. Still a pretty big increase compared to the USA, but maybe that's to be expected when import duties and the likes have been paid.

Still, around 140 USD more for import duties and such... while that doesn't seem to apply for the Pixel 7a. I don't know. If that's the case however, I'd wonder why. In the past, we've been paying like 50 USD to 70 USD more. I can see that. Now it's much more expensive and again: It doesn't apply for the Pixel 7a. I'm really having a hard time now since I love my Google eco system. :( Thank you very much for your valuable input!
