Ended up 8th this round, which is still great but I thought the problems would be easy enough to complete under 30 minutes... This round was definitely harder and I made mistakes than I would've liked

Python is very slow and rarely used in competitive programming.

Use python only if you are good at only python and don't have time for interviews. Exceptionally slow for real CP.

Each day has 2 parts where part 2 expands on the problem from part 1.

What did you do to get rid of RE in problem C. I am still getting RE in java. Any advice would be helpful!

RE in problem C maybe because of the recursion depth, when the tree is a linked list the recursion can be very deep that cause the StackOverFlowError. I solve this error by running the solution code in a "new" customized stack size java Thread. Hope this can help you:)

You dont compile from vim. Its just a text editor. You use a compiler to compile it for you like clang or g++. Use a terminal for that or a command prompt
