I am a 65 year old angler. Yes my husband taught me how to fish 41 years ago when we were dating in the Branson, Mo. area on lake Taneycomo. We take our boat out every chance we get. We are now in NE Mo. in Kirksville near my aging parents but still make lots of trips back to the Ozarks to see our grandson and fish the wonderful lakes of the Ozarks. With all that being said, My husband David and myself just ADORE your videos and just find you a great joy to watch. Queuing my son who currently lives in Arlington Heights out in that direction. So far he hates the fishing in N. Illinois. Hasn't had a lot of luck pond jumping so far. Maybe he needs a hookup? He was back here at home at Lake St. Clair with me a couple of weeks ago (came back to celebrate Mothers Day). Dudes... the action is slowly going on on St. Clair... this next week or two is going to be absolutely awesome. Smallies should be bedded by then. My house burned down recently and 6 days after that I donated my big sister one of my kidneys. I had just started getting back into fishing myself before the fire but lost everything I had recently gotten to start my own collection, but I lost everything in the fire. Do you have any suggestions for cheap yet effective gear for fishing? I’m a 20 year cold college student with just a part time job. Bass fishing is my favorite but I love to just be out there, catching whatever bites. Would love to be able to meet you and the other googans. Never stop.

Meanwhile in Texas...it’s 90 degrees. I HAVE to get better using google maps. Most of the spots around me are on private property, golf courses, etc. I creep up on some of these places and I might get shot at. Oh..and in 25 years of fishing, I’ve never caught a largie on a jig. Haven’t given them much of a chance though.

Jon, you stopped short. The real fishing action in that area is about 6 miles west of where your were. Cambridge Lakes in Pingree Grove is where the fish are at. Keep heading west next time your in the area. Kfns.

How do you find so many ponds that aren't private? Or do you just ignore the signs. Every pond I find on maps has "residents only" or "private" signs.

This is just a suggestion on a fish you might be interested in and it's the Colorado cutthroat trout a very beautiful fish the can be found in the Rio grande and the Colorado river and for the people reading this I recommend this fish for you guys too if you know any other spots for cutthroat trout reply I would like to know more locations

I love ultralights.. I have been moving into having some light to med rods.. but I just find heavy casting rods feels like cheating for panfish.
