It's fixed! I had to go into the web version and enable web history. The option is NOT in the new app! Works great now. Awesome concise voice directions! Phenomenal searches. No need for an address!.

turn by turn navigation is available starting from iphone 3gs to iphone 5. just play around with the app and you will find it

For all those saying that Android doesn't have these gestures yet, it does, at least on my nexus 7, using Google maps version 6.14.1. Double tap and slide is there, tilt and rotate is there, and in navigation, you are able to see all of your directions by tapping arrows instead of sliding.

Yes, Like on all Androids all you have to do sign in. That's it!! This way based on what you want to save it'll be ready for you the next time you open the app. Even if you save Maps on your PC or Mac, it'll still work for you.

3D view will on work in places that work with it. The best way to test this is to make sure you are in or near a big City or town that will work with 3D view, The other thing is to just check the follow 3D views for IOS. All this can seen with Maps on Google's main website,

I had no problems with the Apple Maps at all, I found it even great to use with the 3D cities and all that, so I don't know why I would download this. Google rocks!. Thanks just tie together siri with google maps. Iphones might not have flash but they have everything from a sleek design, to speed, and a smooth operating system. Android get's there tweaks and gesture control though. It's just a matter of preference.

ok i use to like when the pins were skinny and if your search on you iphone on Google maps say for walmart all the walmarts were pined in a certain radius of where you were. how do i get this feature back. I hat the thick pins Google maps uses. It was way back when google maps was the default in the iphone before apple maps took over and freaked everyone out with their cappy map app. about 8 years ago.

I agree with you. I think that the separate but equal way to go is in Google's best interest. Myself, Apple can make whatever they want, I'm loving my android's abilities which are far superior than Apple, which are limited to what an app can do. If I was drunk, or stoned all the time, I would like an iphone, but as I am capable of being functional, I choose Android.

From the look of things, Google have integrated Google Now into Maps in iOS. Gestures are smoother, 3-d redering is faster and the GNex does not have the swipe at 4:08. Call me nitpicking but the GNex or any Android phone (if that matter) is losing out
