Bought one of the $20 something dollar ifixit toolkits about two years ago. Literally one of the best things I’ve bought since I’ve started doing repairs. The lil jimmy tool is basically worth the whole $20 by itself imo. I use most of the ifixit tools over Apple’s issued tools.

@@brandondixon2138 the thing with iPhones, and Hugh said it several times, is that they pair most of the components to the specific device. Their design looks and repairs very vell - it's really modular and easy to disassemble and reassemble (besides back panel and screen), but you can't change anything, because you will either get a semi-functional phone or just non-functional phone

Just sharing, I was doin LCD replacement of my Redmi Note 3 Pro couple months ago. I bought LCD replacement from E-commerce market and im doin mistake for not to check the quality of the new LCD before applying it on the phone. I just applying it with the glue and it display nothing. Im sure i have doin right and not damaging any of its components including the flex. But, sadly the seller wont give me claim the warranty because the seal already broken because of the application. It makes me to buyin another one for the restoration. So, for who wants to doin any replacement of your phone, remember to check it before applying it with glue. But, if you have such a good connection seller to get an OEM parts then i think its not gonna be any problem.

Nothing requires him to do so. He already is going above and beyond a normal repair man by recording the whole restoration process. But I think he people asked him he would be honest about it. Any person that buys restored phones should remember that the phone was originally broken and will never be like brand new. Although it will be close.
