Hi J There is a fault with the Pixel 5 and 4a 5G that if you use an eSim and a regular SIM then the phones revert to 4G / LTE networks only. Google knows about this and is coming out with a fix. If you delete your eSim and only use a regular SIM you will get 5G on AT&T.

Corning Gorilla glass 3 the strongest. No manufacturer could make curved screen from it. The higher the number doesn't means it's stronger, nor better. My Note10 + C.G. 5 screen cracked yesterday morning by the edge and went till the side curve 3-4 centimeter long. Phone slipped out from my hand almost chest height, not even head height. Manufacturesrs should return to flat screens and gorilla glass 3, My flat screen devices still without a scratch. Can't even change out my Note 10+ to new even tho still has 1 year of warranty. Google Fi caused the Wifi, and data issues on your Pixel 5. Just not tech related thing behind it. Great video and details, J.

Coming out off pixel 4 and considering pixel 5 and decided to get 4a5g, trade in my op6t at t-mobile store. So far it has been nothing but great, main thing is battery, omg it's like nothing else I have experienced on Android device especially pixel line. Size is great for media consumption, speakers are great. I think google made it happen this year. The only one thing is annoying is fingerprint scanner, I am used to face unlocking and in my opinion it's the best for unlocking the device and general esthetics for a modern phone. Love you J

I picked up the Pixel 4a 5g and smacked a tempered glass screen protector on it...that takes care of the scratching of the phone screen off the table. I love it...now I didn't get the special for 350.00, but I still love the phone. I can tell the difference in the missing smooth display of 90htz. But other then that I'm happy...now I did get the Pixel 5 as a gift and I like that more...but I like the screen size of the Pixel 4a 5g

I had the last 3 Galaxy Notes, last one I have is the Note 20 Ultra, which is a beast. I was able to pick up the Pixel 4a 5G through T-Mobile for free, I thought I was getting the Black Friday $250 deal. Any way, I has missed stock Android so much since I let go the Pixel 2 XL to get my Note 9. I'm not a fan of the Sammy UI, I always Nova launch my Notes. But man this Pixel 4A 5g in my opinion blows every Note with performance and the actual stock Android experience. The best purchase I ever made, I like it so much this phone that I'm selling my Note 20 Ultra. You can't tell the difference with the 60 hz to the automatic 120hz Note Ultra performance. I give Sammy the stunning design, display and a great gaming experience on the Note, which is the best on the market. Performance on the Pixel and battery life is amazing, it blows the Note out of the water. So impress with this Pixel, I've been using it for a week, I don't miss the Note 20 Ultra at all, except for the S-pen. Phone of the year this Pixel 4a 5g!! So impressed J!!

I picked up the 4a 5g moving from the 4XL. Battery life has been much better. 8 hrs of SOT is much better than I was getting on the 4 XL. The fingerprint reader was a must due to Covid and was a big factor also. Put on a screen protector due to the Gorilla Glass 3 and everything has been great.

@@atifghafoor6258 I would get about 5-6 hrs of SOT with the XL and depending on the day would have to charge during the day. Now I am getting over 8 easily with about 20-30% left. This is with most of that being on wifi ( working from home and never leaving the house). As for performance, I haven't noticed any difference but I don't play any heavy games/apps where I many have seen that impact.

Have had my 4a 5G for about a week, and so far I'm loving it. Insane battery life if you're not a power user (I get 25+ on a full charge with my normal usage, and my mom on her 4a that I got her gets over 2 full days), great pictures, a responsive OS, and all at a reasonable price. If you want the ultra wide angle camera, and are fine with the screen size (I came from a Pixel 2XL, so the screen size is fine for me), and want a great mid range phone, the 4a 5G is a perfect fit. If you absolutely feel you need wireless charging, then it isn't the phone for you.

I missed my 7T for a while. 5G hasn't impacted me in any way at all, maybe it will in the future but who knows. 4a 5G has a good wide angle camera (unlike the 7T; I was happy with both mains), more accurate rear fingerprint reader, notably better battery life, a headphone jack, faster updates, Google photos backed up free in high res after the switch this summer, call screening, and Wi-Fi calling on AT&T. The 7T is faster/smoother, much more premium build, physical mute switch, more symmetrical front camera placement, zoom lens has more noise but better detail range, great GCam build, nice customization options. Overall, the 4a 5G might actually be a bit better (with things I personally care about) for most general users. But switching to it did make me miss my 7T.

If the size of the Pixel 4a 5G and the Pixel 5 were swapped I might have gone with the 4a 5G instead. Had the Pixel 2 XL for 2 years and it was on the heavy side for me and a little too big. Glad to see everyone liking the 4a 5G!

Just got mine the other day. Best phone I've ever had by far. The camera is superb. And the audio is the best ive ever heard on a phone with just a 2 speaker system. Records 4k vids at 60fps as well which is pretty wild. The battery is fantastic. And I did experience 5g with it and got 350mbps down. I've seen other people getting much faster thoughhh

I have the Pixel 5. It’s all good, except the audio is a little to be desired. When actually using it as a phone, the screen vibrates a lot. A little annoying. Watching content, I have to turn it up a little louder. Is the 4a5G a little better in that department from your perspective? Because I would rather have a better audio experience. I tested the Pixel 5 vs the 4a5G extensively at a BestBuy, and I def felt that the 4a5G’s speakers were both louder, and more clear. I would say equivalent to a Galaxy Note 20, just not quite as “rich” as a Note 20 Ultra (a very nice, but very big & overpriced device, IMO). The Pxl 5 is unquestionably the “nicer” of the two 5G Pixels, but if you can live w/o the IP rating, wireless charging & 90hz refresh rate, the 4a5G is a great alternative.

Loved this review. I recently just received my first ever Pixel phone, and this is the model. The price had dropped really significantly and I got it for $110 on EBay. The phone though refurbished, looks brand new and it's running Android 13. I can't even begin to say how much I love this phone. I don't need any Iphone with this phone is all I can say. Pixel photography is Boss!!

I'm digging mine so far. I like that you can use the bottom charging port to connect your headphones if you have a pair with type C. Sound quality is good enough if you ask me. I'm using my OnePlus bullet headphones and the sound is great. No complaints in that department. It would've been nice if it had face unlock and app lock. I miss those 2 features. I'm hoping they will implement it in the Pixel 6 and all of the upcoming Pixel phones.

I do love pixel devices, I have the pixel 3a xl. The only major drawback for me is that the screen doesn't get that bright, if you are outside on a sunny day you will struggle to see the screen on full brightness. That is the only downside though. One major good point for me which not a lot of reviewers mention is how good the screen haptics are on pixel screens, they are easily the best phones to type and scroll on, they feel so smooth

So I have only heard good things about google pixel line of phones but what I think is a downside and draw back from the google pixel 4a 5g is the fact that there is no wireless charging and it's not even water and dust resistant.....google pixels might be good, and I've always wanted to try one out but That's a deal breaker for me to be honest...I mean on a scale 1-10 what would you scale this google pixel 4a 5g as now.....with all of the deal breakers that it doesn't have?

In my experiences Gorilla Glass 3 has better scratch resistance than 4 or 5. GG4 and up seem to focus more on shatter resistance.

Looks like mediocre 5g speed and ping on both networks. I wouldnt be complaining if thats the average speed on google fi though considering that's its mostly running on tmobile network thats actually good, but i usually see 60-170 mbps speed on 4g att bands 2 and 66 on my u12+
