Still, I think Android phones are typically built to last 2 or at most 3 years before being replaced. I notice the hardware on my phone starts to malfunction around the 2 year mark, even though there's at least 3 years worth of software updates available.

I'm gonna go for the A51, since it's over $100-200 cheaper than the Pixel where I live, I like the OneUI aesthetic and some of the features like quick-sharing etc would work well for me because that's what a lot of my friends have. Edit: And I really love taking good photos and videos and I want that 4-lens flexibility. Including the macro one. Pictures of plants and flowers up close are some of my favourites. Edit 2: And I'm not sure why but I prefer the look of the A51's photos in the end.

@pangiospp 100% being honest here, no battery issues at all, it also charges really fast, and battery life is long lasting. I've gone without charging the whole day and I still had battery life left. No lagging as well, I remember seeing those comments as well but I haven't had any issues at all. I recommend this phone 100% even the camer quality is great, only issue with Android cameras is that apps lower the quality like tiktok videos quality is not the same as how clear the phone camera app quality is. But again its not horrible either

The pixel 4a screen looks better to me by far. At the beginning i thought it was because the A51 closest to the screen which gave it that sord of white-ish tint to the display, but then when he moved the pixel closest to the camera, the pixel screen still looked the same and the A51 still had that white-ish tint to the display. I've had the pixel 4a for almost a month now and I love it.

I've always said this, if you want to experience Android and Google at its best you have to get a pixel device. I started when the nexus phones where out. Reason is because you get to experience the true Android since it is stock. If you get anything else other than a Google line up, you will be getting all the bloatware that samsung add to it, along with other manufacturer. That is the reason why ppl get irritated when your phone becomes laggy, and I mean super laggy. Just look at the Samsung and how laggy it was now. Always go stock Android and you will experience smoothness and reliability just how you feel like an iPhone. I've never used a Samsung and I never will. So many adds and they just make money off you from all that unwanted useless bloatware. And plus, with pixels you will get the latest Android before anyone else. Just days or a couple of weeks after. Not years after lol.

Does the pixel 4a have a dark mode option for the whole phones UI? Cause it looked *very* white stock, really not a fan. Also no expandable storage... Ouch. I might consider a pixel for my next phone if they ever do make expandable storage an option.

For me this should be this simple... If you care about camera and audio quality and one handed usability then get a Pixel. If you care more about larger & better quality screen, OneUI and more camera modules go for A51.

Since I'm over Samsung and their phones. It was easy to choose the Pixel 4a. I have an s9, and every photo it says it's not good. Every photo? I have wanted to try the Pixel for the camera and battery. I forgot about the display. I am waiting for the Pixel 5, and will see then. P5 will be a 6.67 big phone. The 4a at 5.8 is the perfect size. Shopping for phone should be easier, it took months to narrow it down.

I really do prefer the 4a. I had a s8 plus and one thing that didn't feel so comfortable was how big it was.. Everything else was perfect. Until It broke on me and I had to get another phone from Verizon.. The a10e.. (which I'll never do again. Since the budget phones they offer in the store have sub-par cameras.. which is one of the only things I care about in a phone, since I take a lot of pictures) Next time that I upgrade, I'm definitely going to Google pixel. It's something different, the camera is overall better because of the software/processor, the size feels more comfortable in the hand, the display still has amazing colors, Google is it's own different company, and lastly, the optimization/processing is just.. Better... So, the Pixel 4a is miles ahead of the Galaxy.. TL;DR- The pixel 4a is what I'd prefer over the galaxy a51..

Update from a a51 user 3 years later Yeah only if i had gotten the pixel my life wouldve been way better than now Bad camera, worst processor, worst software optimisation (to a extent that i had to install custom rom) Yeah i aint trusting Samsung's midrange phone

I know the pixel is regarded as the better camera but in this selfie I like the warmer tone of a51, just more punchy colours and pleasing to look at. Apple have moved away from ultra realistic colour science too and gone for warmer tones. Ask your wives or girlfriends, i bet they prefer the Samsung photo

Had not made up my mind about what new phone to get this fall . Pixel 4a at top of list. Their phones have always been out of my price range. I used Moto phones because of their stock Android . Pixel phones are the only stock version above them. $350 just great for that running experience. Good video as always Wade . Your videos are always on time. Later.

The A51 is so much cheaper in the UK - can get for 20 pounds a month with 20gb of data and unlimited calls/texts included vs 28 pounds a month for the pixel :/ Sad because much prefer the pixel's size.

Why every review or comparison fall towards Pixel 4a in every aspects but not for other devices even if those are good in some features than Pixel. Any clear answer or is purely their concern towards Google Pixel. I am confused so much that how Pixel is better against others even after comparing all features.

I was originally a Samsung fan, but seeing the clean os of google is tempting. But I’m sure the Samsung could be customized to be similar like that. Also stereo speakers on 4a is much better. Would like to see how it would compare to a71 since that’d probably be similar price range

In Romania, the smaller price I could find for a Google Pixel 4a is 640€ and for a Galaxy A51 is 290€ so for me is pretty clear what I would choose

Google pixel for sure the winner I come from an IPhone SE 2020 and even that phone doesn't compare to the goggle pixel 4a. I should know I owned the iPhone and now the pixel....

A51 looks way better than pixel. Pixel looks like a low budget smart phone of Samsung. Performance is the only win here for the pixel IG. With camera department wide angle plays a major role here. P.S With a 5.8 inch display & a single camera lens pixel is way behind the standards of 2020 tbh
