Google Pixel 6 Pro vs. Pixel 4XL Camera and Video Comparison in 4k

Had a 4 XL for 2 years and it was a good phone! Towards the end tho battery life was awful, was getting 4 hours SoT. Now I got a 6 pro and I'm getting 7-8 hours SoT and the video is leaps and bounds better

Thanks. I have yet to test it myself but this proves what I've been seeing. The stabilization produces this jitter when you move or pan. Since the front cameras don't have it, you can't see it so to my eyes it looks better. Stabilization is amazing in certain circumstances but distracting in most. I'm going to try turning it off and see what I get. I've watched a ton of reviews and comparisons on the Pixel 6 and Pro, and no reviewer to my knowledge has picked up on this. Not even the pro's.

Photos and videos are definitely more punchy and less noisy on the 6 compared to the 4xl.

4 xl the best pixel…very underrated phone. Just returned my 6 pro for lots of problems. going to get a decent second hand 4xl again.

I have the 6 pro and the 4. The only thing that bothers me is the size. And not the biggest fan of curved screens. Would go the smaller 6 but I don't want to lose the tele lens.

As someone who had several Samsung phones previously with curved screens I thought I would hate this one but it has been good. Not sure if maybe there is just less curve or my case choice or what.

I wouldn't say that is necessarily true. It is a good test to show how a camera can handle highlights and shadows. Daylight is simply not as much of a struggle for cameras. If you're intent is to mostly photograph photos in the daylight I'd say it is a great way to compare camera quality.

Seems like a nice camera choice. I've only used the different generations of GoPros. So, don't have any personal experience with other options. But, as you noted, the GoPros can be buggy sometimes. The 6 Pro seems to put out a very nice image. Cool to see the comparison!

The 6 Pro has been impressing me more and more every day. Some of the pics of the kids on Halloween were just incredible for how dark it was. The whole GoPro thing is an internal struggle. The kicker is mine always look new because I don't put them through any abuse and still die. My last one died doing a timelapse of a flower in my garden, in the shade, on a 70 degree and dry morning.... (I just passed one of you 15 minutes ago heading to work.)

Sorry about my English I just want to say your review was amazing to be honest I lost my phone on the bus for that reason I'm looking for a new Smartphone and I said to me it must be pixel and now I'm completely sure to buy a pixel 4 xl refurbished from Amazon this phone is amazing in 2022 yet, and the GoPro for me was better was more professional the colors I think sony doesn't abuse with the HDR regards from Lima Peru Latin America

Px4 still does excellent photo. It's an old phone, well tested, Px6 is fairly new, I hope Google will use its full potential with further updates

Without being able to test side by side. (My 4XL has already been returned.) I am going to say it is all subjective and situational. I can say the Pixel 6 Real Tone is a real thing. I never paid a ton of attention to skin tones before but with this phone I notice they do appear more accurate and flattering to most.
