Just got my S22 Ultra this week, my first flagship in a few years. I tried the 6 Pro, last year when it came out because i'm a Pixel fan. I will say after using the Samsung for a couple days it's got a lot of features that I will probably never use. Nice to have though. Great phone, love the camera but I'm questioning should I keep it or wait for the Pixel 7 and see what it offers. I have 30 days to try it out. Good video

I got both of these, had the Pixel 6 Pro at launch and got the S22 Ultra a few weeks ago. Man... The S22 Ultra is spoiling me and ngl the camera goes toe to toe with the Pixel and that I was not expecting. I still prefer the software experience on the Pixel, but hardware and design wise (especially feel in hand) the S22 Ultra feels more premium. Definitely grabbing the 7 Pro when it drops so I can see how it stacks up.

Yep this is accurate to what I feel as well. s22 feels so solid in the hand and just has the slightly better build quality and cameras are def head to head. Just two of the best android devices out right now.

I can relate to that. Because I use iMac and Macbook Pro it is very convenient to use an iPhone 13 Pro Max which also supports best the apps that are important to me. Every few weeks I get fed up with iOS and switch back to my Pixel 6 Pro which is such a pleasure to use and except for the fingerprint scanner I've never had any problems with (I'm in the UK). Installing the Android 13 Beta seems to have supercharged every facet of the phone.

For me the phone has to be good at the main purpose we buy them.....radio. And I'm sorry to say the pixel 6 pro I have had nothing but trouble connecting to the network. Went thru 2 replacements only to have the same thing while others in the family have the same network standing right next to me connecting just fine. Went with the ultra and no problems at all.

This isn't the first time I've heard of modem issues and it doesn't matter what else is great about a device, if the main purpose doesn't work well then it's useless. Hope they fix the modem issue with the 7 series. I've heard good things about the modem on the 6a so I'm sure we will be good for the flagship.

I haven't personally experienced that but I have heard some people with those issues. I'm not sure if the recent updates have improved that or not.

yes and no. The signal is better on the S22U, but both suffer from drop calls. I tend to have a better overall experience with P6P though, less Android Auto issues and such

Best phrase I could give these two devices is this: The S22 Ultra does everything good. It's the best at certain categories, but it does everything at least good, The Pixel does a few things but it does those things Great, The things you know Google for are on full display with the Pixel 6 Pro. It's not really what I use that it doesn't offer. I'm in the same boat as you because I have everything apple and it would be very hard to switch. For Android it's just the fun factor and some of the AI things that the Pixel has. I honestly enjoy the display experience a little more also. Kind of hard to explain. Might do a video about that.

S Pen, if you use it go Samsung. If you are a watch wearer and you need the watch to match the phone, aka not Fitbit, Garmin etc, then again Samsung phones with their watch is much like Apple to Apple. Google 7 Pro interests me, I'll never leave the S Pen unless Apple does something similar but who knows, but my attention is on the watch, if Google blows the watch or the phone to watch seamlessly work then 😬

I did a metric ton of research on these two (2) phones when I needed to make a switch. On my end, the S22 Ultra came out on top for me. I'm still finding new tricks for it, but as of now, she's kitted out for what I need. The new One UI will be a game changer, for sure. I just didn't didn't sign up for the beta, therefore, I'll just wait. It's gonna kick some major derriere in the Android competitors.

I stuck my torch on the auto brightness sensor ( as a bit of an experiment) and my pixel 6 screen looked wonderful at around 800 nits 😁

s22 ultra had its fair share of issues at launch as well at it lasted a few months after. Problem is the Google Pixel users tend to be a little louder on reddit and youtube. It's cool to hate on Google and that simply an observation...seeing how drastic y'all make these issues suffered by the "majority" (loud minority) and love to make a mountain out of an ant hill I'm starting to believe it's a fact and not just an opinion.

@@Beanjuice the s22 ultra did not have calling issues, heating issues, Bluetooth issues, etc. Samsung's hardware is second to none. They have had software bugs, but Google is to blame for that, seeing that Samsung uses Android 12 which is Google's software. Samsung uses top notch modems. Google always tries to cheap out with parts. Every pixel has had issues from screens, mics, speakers, etc. My pixel 6 pro has a blown speaker. Worst phone release I've seen lol

This! I have both devices and the HDR / DR on Pixel is second to none. The S22U blows out the skyline with DR all the time. Pixel, on same picture taking, gets the blues and clouds everytime.
