They have excellent trade-in bonuses at best buy too right now, and they throw in an extra $100 BB GC for Pixel 7. You hand your phone over in store so the value is verified right there.

@@MrHrisk no i didn't. that offer of a gift card was from bestbuy. i got my pixel from the google website. if i would have known about the bestbuy offer i might have done that instead. which ever way you go it is still a good deal getting a new phone for less than 200.00.

I own the Pixel 6, and on paper the Pixel 7 is just a Pixel 6 v2. The only real difference is the processor. Google's major selling point has always been software so if you own the Pixel 6 then It's pointless to upgrade.

Agreed. I'm almost regretting upgrading and I came from a pixel 4A 😂. I mean the software is exactly the same so it doesn't even feel like a different phone that much. So I know the pixel 6 is darn near identical to this. Still glad I own it though because it's a larger screen than the Pixel 4A. I'll keep the 4A for a backup.

Just upgraded to the Pixel 7 from the Pixel 6, the haptics are amazing & the face unlock is a welcomed addition & the fingerprint scanner is definitely better & brighter display.

@@crazyfun5150 call quality is great! I get a lot better service and signal than my Pixel 6. Battery life is also miles better so far! I start my day around 6am and by 9pm I still had around 30% I'm really happy with Google this year!

I definitely agree with all the updates the pixel 6 received it fixed the majority of all the issues, only if you want face unlock is the only reason I can understand others will upgrade to the 7, I'm good my pixel 6 runs fine. It still gets warm when I do just about anything GPS, social media

I still have the Pixel 2 for the last 4 and a half years. It has been a great companion to me and has never let me down, but the past few months it is having a few issues with the battery where it is draining very fast and today the phone just restarted by itself when I opened the camera, which has never happened before. I think it may be finally time to upgrade. That's why I'm debating to go for the 6 (because it is cheaper) or the 7 (because it is the newest).

I still have my Pixel 2 XL and it's now become my backup phone to my Pixel 6. It still runs smooth and fast even though Google no longer issues updates for it. If you are interested, both the Pixel 6a and Pixel 7 are on sale right now. $299 for the Pixel 6a (128GB) and $499 for the Pixel 7 (128GB). I have a Pixel 6 myself and I got to see how the 6a performs and it's just as good as the 6 so if you're looking to get a great performing phone for a good price then the 6a is definitely worth a look.

Yes especially with the third party apps. I could tell right off the bat that Temple Run was not going to be optimized for the 7 at all.

I prefer the aesthetics of the pixel 6, not keen on the design of the 7. Display wise no discernable difference. I looked at a pixel 7 in store and found the display looked a bit washed out , plus it didn't seem as bright at manual max brightness . The pixel speakers sounded a bit odd too, kind of tinny . I decided to keep my pixel 6

man this app opening comparison is so pointless. I am surprised anyone is doing it in 2022 still. All it tells us is the storage speed and ram speed, both of which don't differ anyways after a certain amount of money is spent (like any iphone and pixel or galaxy s Line Up)

The difference in term of cpu and stockage performance is quiet suttled, same 2.1 stockage and same core design, the major upgrade in the new tensor g2 is in the graphical departement and machine learning

The main difference between these two phones was in the selfie camera; not just the 4k vs 1080 but the viewing angle of the wide angle lens. You should've taken a comparison selfie to see how much more area the Pixel 7 covers. 10 minutes wasted!

Even if performance is about the same, I’d take the 7 for the better brightness, less bugs, face unlock, updated design and the slightly improved fingerprint sensor. The battery life I’m not worried about as it’s close to the 6a’s battery size and it was getting like 6-7 hours of screen on time once the adaptive battery kicked in. It’s almost worth leaving the 6 just for all the software bugs and unstable UI. Seems like based on the feedback so far the 7 is greatly improved.

I have the 6 right now for about 8 mounth and honnestly it was pretty wonderfull, some bug here and there but a lot of them have been fixed, the fingerprint sensor is now quiet reliable (still slow by today standards), good battery life etc. For me the only reason to switch is the updated screen, the only problem is that outdoors if you put the brightness in auto the battery will fall like crazy with a pick power of 6-7w compared to a S22 that tops at 4-5w

@@aronledogar1699 I did enjoy the 6 but it overheated and the fingerprint sensor was slow and with the bugs I couldn’t keep it. Aside from the improved brightness, the face unlock and faster fingerprint sensor are nice too on the 7. I’d seen that on the brightness causing battery issues but I never use auto brightness anyway. Not sure if that would correct the problem. But based on what I’ve seen the reviews have said the performance was smooth on the 7 and 7 pro and none have mentioned the bugs. Also the clear call feature I’m hoping helps improve call quality. If everything is as advertised the 7 is a pretty decent upgrade over the 6.

@@aronledogar1699 that’s the awesome thing on pixel devices. Usually after the latest flagships unveils the features they are retroactively brought down to the older models that are still supported. I would guess at the very least face unlock might be given to the 6 series. But I think the clear calling feature was supposed to be an exclusive feature to the g2 chip. But who knows? Maybe that will apply to all tensor chips as well.

I wanted to buy the 6, but now I'm thinking about 7 more, the thing is in my country there's no official support and therefore the 7 costs 50€ more and there are no earphones as a gift.

Thanks so much for your informative video. I have the Pixel 6 and thankfully have only had one issue and that is very low volume when connecting an external mic to the phone when taking movies with it. Both my external wired mics (Rode video micro and Saramonic mini) suffer the same issue. The soundtrack is captured but I need to boost it by 15 or 20db's in post and then it's fine. No problem with those mics on other devices. I'd upgrade to the Pixel 7 if it doesn't have the low external mic volume issue. Are you able to test the 7 with an external mic to verify? Than again for your P6/P7 comparison.

If you have a 6 you don't need to upgrade since you get some software updates and gimmicks. Nothing more. Battery is still the weakest point of these phones + heat. Not really an upgrade. Even xiaomi would call this a T or Samsung's and S phone, not really a whole new phone.

I have both the 6 Pro and the 7 Pro. The sound on the 6 Pro is fuller, with the body of the phone adding weight to the sound. The 7 Pro just sounds tinnier, but just as loud, which is the best way I can describe it.

Personally I'm not that familiar with extended use of AMOLED displays, but I know my eyes don't get strained that much with regular old LCD screens. Only problem I find with any LCD screen is that you need to really crank up brightness in full sunlight, which consequently asks a lot from your battery. AMOLED displays are pretty, but fragile and expensive, and I'm not sure if it is the case with most phones nowadays, but some time ago I heard they can get very warm. Also, I'm not sure if this is really true, but AMOLED screens were "slower" if I'm not mistaken. In the sense that they take a little longer to process finger gestures. But this might not be the case anymore either. I'd say depending on what you want your phone to do most: Get a phone with an LCD screen if you want to use your phone for intensive apps which are more "touch intensive", like the more heavy, competitive games (f.e: FPS games). Get AMOLED if you want pictures to look crispy, want games to look stunning (and don't care too much about competitiveness) and are more of a movie junkie. Though if you simply really want to know what type of screen fits you most if your eyes get sore quickly I'd ask an optician or people who have had plenty of experience with both type of screens. Hope this helped a bit.

My Pixel 6 fell and the glass at the rear camera completely cracked, I think thats why they changed the rear design of the Pixel 7 - so fragile! Anyways, Google will be replacing it for free, and once received, I'll be trading for the Pixel 7.

@@bensdream I switched from the 6 to a 7 the 6 was solid but the 7 has way better call quality because they actually fixed the modem, my battery actually makes it thru the day, it's a little smaller so feels better in my hand and undoubtedly has superior pictures and videos
