I’m upgrading from an 8 Pro for the smaller size. I love everything about it except how big it is, and the 9 Pro is now the only small-ish phone with a 5x telephoto lens.

Well Google said the Pixel 6 sold more than the 4 and 5 combined and the 7 sold more than the 6. So maybe they're getting bolder with the prices because they're overconfident haha idk🤷‍♂️

My favorite Pixel is #4. Just the right size to slip into a pocket, face unlock works great, etc. etc. plus no AI bull. I bought P8P last year just to find the phone to huge to be comfortable carry. So I re-lapsed and got iPhone 13 Mini and so far so good. I do miss Pixel call screening features though.

I really dont like Gemini on my phone right now. Its way slower than regular Google Assistant, doesn't do as much and fails most of the time for simple tasks. Its only better at very specific LLM stuff like when you ask for a text sample for an e-mail. To be honest it felt good to see that fail on stage, maybe now they realize how bad it is. Reminds me of the frustration I had with Siri hahahah Siri is so dumb

I don’t know about the Pixel 9... For example, the only AI I care about is the Samsung AI keyboard, which has a built-in grammar and tone editor. It’s amazing; I never again post and worry about spelling and grammar. I want that first, and then all the other “BS” AI features. All the other AI features are great, but after using the Z Flip 5 with the Samsung keyboard, I’m stuck until other companies provide a keyboard that’s even close to being as good.

Yeah we need to stop with sketching stuff and generating so-so images. That's more of a gimmick if I had a child and wanted to keep them busy, but for myself, I don't ever see myself using "AI" features like that.
