@@DayoAworunseone of the reasons I went back to iPhone from the pixel 7a. The reception just killed the usability for the pixel. I couldn’t rely on the phone to keep signal for phone calls and data connection. Love the software however, like more than iOS.

So I just upgraded to the pixel 8 from a Motorola razr(had so many issues with this phone especially call quality, and UI issues). And the 8 is pretty good especially because of the 7 years of updates.

I agree that the display on the P9 is _much_ nicer than the P8. I compared my P8 with a P9 demo unit at a local Best Buy -- wow. However, I'm waiting for the P10 w/ its TSMC SOC.

Nice one. Any chance you want to make a video comparison of voice typing on Samsung v Google v Apple? It seems that voice typing with Ai could be a ridiculously useful tool, but at the moment the mistakes are ridiculous. And it seems Google is way ahead of the game. I use s23 Ultra and the mistakes it makes are so lame. I tend to voice type and then use the ai built into the keyboard to fix it. but this is not ideal. Who cares about random photo generation...when are they going to focus on useful tools.

When in always on mode, the Pixel's(8/9) display goes down to 30 Hz. you can check for yourself by turning on the frame rate from the developer settings

I like the design of the 8 series way more than the 9 series’s. Its lighter, with better ergonomics due to the rounder edges and shorter, better integrated camera bump and it is unique and not just an iphoned pixel.

I dont understand people. But how the f...is boxier phone better in hand than curved? I really liked iphone 12 mini, but feel in the hand is awfull because of that edges (box shape). Some phones like pixel 5 are great in hand. Not box phones. No way.

(since you saved our time by giving the conclusion first, I'm doing the same for you) You didn't waste any of your viewer's time with the sponsor (I actually clicked back because I was so shocked at the sponsor joke) and you gave your conclusion immediately so we knew what to expect. I immediately hit the "like" button for that. I hadn't hit the "subscribe" button yet because I wanted to see the rest of the video and I don't usually subscribe so quickly to a brand new channel, but the rest of the review was actually better than most reviews from the "big" tech channels. You had tests that they never tested (like the call test) and showed the results on screen (front camera autofocus) so we could judge for ourselves. And as a Pixel 8 owner, I felt that your take on the device was very fair and well-founded. The production quality was high and there was even some unexpected humor mixed in. I enjoyed the review and learned more much more than I normally do from other tech reviews. 😄

Surprised you say the colors seem too much with adaptive. Coming from the 6 Pro the colors on the 9 Pro appear sort of cool and washed out by comparison.
