Honestly I'm extremely glad to finally see someone who doesn't think the chin is a massive deal. I love the idea of having somewhere to put my hands while watching videos while there are people who want 0 bezels but I have no idea where your going to put your hands with or without palm rejection Great video as always, probably going to pick one up and switch it out for my S7

Thank you! Finally someone talked about it. one of my biggest complaints about Samsung phones are the capacitive buttons that are always on the way when taking pictures or watching videos. almost all the time I hit the back or multi-task button by mistake. Pixel bezel is still oversized for me but is nice to have a place to hold the phone.

I reaaaally love that quick recent apps switch. I can see it being really useful for everyday use. Multitasking by having split-screen apps is, at times, a hassle bec they are only half of their original size and when I try to use the keyboard it becomes even smaller.

The problem is, these two phones are both great hence choosing between them happens to be really difficult. Since comparing phones isn't my forte, and the fact that Erica has never been completely biased towards iPhones like most people, I can use her advice to aid me in my decision making.

I've been noticing in most of the unboxings by various KZbin personalities so far that they've had difficulty using the intended pull tab to remove the phone from the packaging. Perhaps if Google would have colored that tab so it stood out more, this wouldn't be such an issue (even if a minor one).

When talking to Google Assistant or Google Now, if you tell it to add something to your shopping list and then tell it "Add 'whatever else' too" it will then add that next thing in addition without you having to repeat "shopping list" in any form. Meaning that you don't have to say "list" at all after saying "shopping list" at the beginning of the sequence.

after the mourning of my Note 7 (twice) I was glad to see the Pixel coming out. I am not a HUGE fan of android, but rather of the Samsung UI they put over android. I tried the G5 and the Moto Z Force and didn't like either one. But the Pixel XL has won me over. Great interface, super fast and awesome battery. I think even after a day of heavy use I walked in the house with 40% battery. It's a winner for me. Great Video Erica.

Great video! I played with a Pixel phone today at the Bell store here in BC and I must say I loved how fast it was. I use a Blackberry Priv (I am Canadian so I have to!!) and I feel that this may be my next phone. It does look like an iPhone but I think that may have been done on purpose as I would described this phone as the iPhone for Android users. This could finally be the phone that pulls me away from Blackberry.

Jia Jiunn Chin HTC manufactured the phone basically used their materials to put it together while Google made the design and software, HTC had no say they're in subcontractor agreement

The first annoying thing I've noticed about the phone (deal breaker for me) is the tapered side view shape (not symmetrical), for the XL model, I'm not sure whether it is fully symmetrical or a little bit tapered. I'm glad to see 1/100 of the reviewers have mentioned this. Keep up the good work Erica.

But I had something I wanted to ask you, you mentioned that there was a slight green tint on your screen and that you wanted to exchange it. My pixel phone has the same thing, it's not too distracting but I noticed that it's apparent at certain angles. Have you gotten a chance to exchange your phone? The double tap is not from the phone itself but a feature from Android 7, Nougat. So future phones that will have the same version of the OS or an update for already existing ones will also have the feature ^_^

I'm physically disabled, and due to reduced range of motion, I require either a dedicated front home button, or a software implementation that allows me to power on the screen.

the double tap on the recent apps button was done by Cyanogenmod from Lollipop onwards (in lollipop it was hold the button to switch the apps). But seriously I love that feature!

I would say its not only an AMOLED problem with the two toned display. I noticed that on for example the Nexus 5X aswell. On LCD it often appears as a yellow tint that fades like a gradient.

I've had the exact same problems with FexEX in the past, so I set up a tablet outside and kept a HangOuts video call going to it to try an catch any FexEX trucks driving by so I could go run out and flag it down. Did that for nearly 4 hours. Loving my new Pixel 5'. Looks more like a 5.5 with the size of your hands, though. I can't even look at my Nexus 6 anymore. HOW DID I LIVE WITH THAT?!
