I love mine, battery is vastly improved from the PW1. With AOD I have over 24hour every day even on my GPS outdoor run days / 1 hour with 30-40% left. With the 1 one same usage was down to 5-10%. I change mine to 100 just before bed when taking shower etc. Works great. Battery on par with AW not counting Ultra

I have had mine since October and I get compliments on it daily. I see so many negative comments about the fact that it's small but The vast majority of feedback that I get while out is that people love how small it is in comparison to other watches

If you want the health/stress tracking and sleep tracking and do all the other funltions to battery safe mode how long would it last. The sense 2 lasts about 3-4 days but has half the battery capacity. Shouldn't it be possible to have a better battery life with the watch 2 when using the watch 2 more or less like a sense 2?

I had the PW1 for about a year. I was happy with it. Sure, battery life wasn't amazing but for me it wasn't an issue. I charged in short bursts during showering and when doing the dishes. The only time I had to be mindful is when I'm away from home for a weekend or something. The proprietary charger was a bummer at first as I kept forgetting it. I got around it by buying a 2nd charger and keeping it in my tech bag. Even after a full year I wasn't iching to upgrade it. That is until I got a free PW2 with my 8 Pro. The upgrade to the first gen was surprisingly substantial. I think I notice the performance boost the most. On the PW1 when you finished a workout it'd hang ever so slightly. This is now instant on the PW2. Battery life does seem better but that was never an issue for me with the PW1. In terms of durability, my PW1 held up well. The one scuff it has on the screen was me banging it against a concrete wall by accident. Other than that the screen and casing look like new. I'm hoping I don't make the same mistake with the PW2 and keep it looking new for even longer! All in all, quite happy with the PW2. I don't think I would've gotten it if I didn't get one for free though. I think the new perforated bands are a better "upgrade" for PW1 users, unless of course you're having issues with your PW1.

I have that annoying hang also. Started happening about 4 months back (probably after an upgrade). Any workout 30 mins+ (or somewhere around that) I cannot stop the workout. It just hangs and is super frustrating. I have to run the extra .25 miles and keep hitting it 30 times before it finally stops

No, they've filed a patent but the feature isn't on this watch The other blood pressure reading watches are pretty useless though, you need to calibrate with a real blood pressure cuff every month and monthly blood pressure measurements are a lot more frequent than is recommended for nearly anyone so knowing what it is day to day in between these monthly calibrations doesn't provide much

Thanks for sharing. Today I'm using Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro LTE and was keen to know more about the Pixel Watch 2. I must say that they're both much alike, but the Galaxy has about 2,5 day of battery and is embedded with Samsung Health instead of Fitbit. I was not much of a fan to hear about the subscriptions needed. Because the LTE is one cost and Fitbit another. The Hey Google voice activation feature is a plus, since I use it a lot. Can the Pixel by any chance download songs and connect directly to pixel buds?

Went with Pixel Watch 1. My first smart watch. Ran 20k steps yesterday, 16k steps the day before. A real game changer for me, if I had money to throw away I would have probably went with the 2nd model. But from what it seems, it's not all that worth it. $179 USD was a pretty good deal for what I got.

I was considering getting one, but now that I know it needs to be charged every day it's a nono for me. My cheap chunky Xiaomi something something lite needs to be recharged every couple of weeks. Of course it has nowhere nearly as much functionality as a PW2, but I guess for now I'm OK my smartwatch only being good for waking me up.

I have a Fitbit Sense and the charging connectivity sucks with the charging cable. I'll sometimes have to waste minutes just to finagle until it says it is charging then slowly back away and not bump it. Based on your comment about the charging cable and from what it looks like, seems to be the same design, which is super sad.

I feel that the GW is really big on my wrist, I surprisingly enjoy the PW size (although it has a case on it too make it look a little bigger) and the software and the smoothness is nice. I still use my GW for body composition and I do like the physical rotating bezel but other than that I'm loving the pixel watch more.

I don't have one yet. It's a Pixel Watch 2 or a Tic Watch or even a low end Fitbit. Though I'll be honest, I have the Google Fit app and it at least measures my steps. I'm in my 50s and Google fit synchs with my AARP app 😅 I get points for walking! I guess it saves on Medicare! Haha great review and you made great points. I wish it lasted at least 4 days on regular raise to see the screen mode. At over $300 to only last a day or so with for $80 or so a Fitbit lasts a week almost? The Pixel watches are shiny tech while the Fitbit is practical and does some of the same things. I'll probably stick to my Google fit app for now though but i love watching your videos!

Most of those are just not very good at anything or only do fitness tracking. The branded ones have a more fleshed out OS, far better compatibility, full on apps like Google Maps and better fitness tracking overall

I was doubting the same and decided in favour of the PW2 because: - Cleaner software with less bloatware - Consistent software updates (and first on that) - Much more accurate data in heart and GPS - Google Assistant - (subjective) nicer looking In favour of the TicWatch 5 Pro: - Battery life - Cheaper (less than 300€ during Black Friday)

I bought a Huawei GT Pro 3 as my work watch because it only needs charging once every 10 to 11 days. Titanium case and sapphire glass has seen it survive unscathed for more than 18 months now - and I work in engineering and construction. The only downside was Google Play caving in to political pressure and removing the attendant Health app from the Play store. No issue, I simply installed Huawei's own App Gallery App and everything is fine and dandy. The Find My Phone feature is also a God send - no more traipsing around trying to remember where I left the bloody phone when I got in from the pub 😂

I bought my Google Pixel 2 watch at teh start of January and this week the microphone stopped working! I can't use Google Assistant on my watch (though couldn't use it at all for that) and now I can't use it for phonecalls because no one on the other end can hear me. Any ideas how to fix this?

Everyone uses the watch differently. I don't use the always on display and I DONT want every little phone notification to buzz on my wrist either so I keep it on silent. I just flick the wrist to show the time etc. My watch lasts 48hrs between charging for my everyday use. I'd say I'm a light user though. Came from using a sub $40 Wyze watch that lasted over a week on one charge so to me 2 days is kinda meh as well.. This watch tracks SO MUCH more though so I understand. Decent though, got it for free with my pixel purchase so hey, why not?

The fall detect 100% works But it does have to be a hard fall. I have a fainting disorder. I wear my watch because of that and it works 100% over there

I've been using this watch for about a month now and all I can say is it's really really as good as the Apple Watch and actually has way more features than what Apple has. My only 2 complaints are the watch should update when it's not connected to the charger. Second, I want it bigger like maybe a 45 watch rather than that 41 they have and less bezels. otherwise, the software and integration and everything related to this watch is very very good. Heart rate is really similar to what I get from apple watch and actually updates every second which was better than apple. Let's see if they fix those next version it will be the BEST in the market for all android users

I bought the Pixel watch 2 and got a case because I like cases. I've been using them since my fossil Gen 5 and Gen 6.... Cause I sometimes catch door knobs. But I'm used to watches with half day to full day battery life and fast charging with 2 to 4 pogo pins on charge pucks so.... I don't see the problem
