***** the search in Gboard allows you to search and paste results directly into whatever you are typing in. This is much more convenient than switching out of the app to search then copying whatever it is you were searching, swapping back into the app then pasting the result. Makes a whole lot of sense to me.

Great review bro. Personally I think Google are going after Apple customers here. Apple fans always say "I want a phone that just works with no lag and a great software experience". That's exactly what the Pixel is. A great software experience. Buttery smooth, with no lag, and raw power. Samsung, LG etc can throw all the features in the world at their phones. Truth is they will never match Apple & now Google when it comes to software optimization (unless they come up with their own OS). At the end of the day, what's the point of having great hardware, if the software is rubbish? BTW I'm not a fanboy of anyone. I'm just saying.

I went from the Note 7 to the Pixel XL. I am not missing any of the features from the Note 7 that the Pixel does not have. I am not missing the lag, the awkwardness of the edges, and battery that drips. The Pixel is a major go. It does everything that a phone should do, better than any phone I have ever used.

OdinXander there always that exception. I bought 6p because I wanted the best of pure android and everyone was recommending it. Went to best buy picked it up with no insurance because I've never broken a phone and treat them like I paid money for it. 3 months down the line phone started glitching, when I plug head phones in the phone starts bugging out, went to put a case on it and part of the screen separated from the phone.. I felt like I was in the twilight zone lol. Couldn't go thru best buy now, so I had to deal with HUAWEI and their customer service and warranty are horrible. They look for any excuse not to fix your item let alone trying to get a new phone. In the words of floss "I rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it"

Battery problems has already been solved. Want to know how? By having a larger capacity .. My 720p LG X Power has a 4100 mAh and has a 9 hour sceen-on-time on HEAVY usage. I've had my V20 for a couple of weeks now and the battery life so far is decent. It's amazing on stand-by and in real-world usage it lasts pretty long surprisingly. But I've only had it for a short period of time so I can't make a very accurate interpretation

I've also heard about the V20's camera cracking and stuff. It hasn't happened to me though (probably because I put a case on it straightaway). But the glass around the camera is in fact kinda sensitive and cracks very easily from what I've been hearing, which is weird because I dropped my V20 one time without a case straight on its camera, and it didn't even have a scratch. I guess I got lucky, but I wouldn't take the chance. So, if you decide to get the V20, you should get a case for it at the same time so it can eliminate the camera hump and it won't crack.

Most Android phones start off smooth but a few months later its a different story. My Galaxy s6 and S7 Edge are good examples. Hopefully the Pixel is different. my iPhone 6s Plus is over a year old and runs just as smooth as when I got it..especially now with iOS 10

I hope so..I never had a stock android phone only Samsungs but if the Pixel holds up I'll definitely look into getting the 2nd generation.

Ron G tbh Samsung are notorious for going to shit a few months down the road. It's not really an android issue (not anymore at least). my lg g3 is still relatively snappy/fast 2years later, same with my friends nexus 6p, 5x.

So you haven't used a stock phone yet? That's why! You should try one. The 6P is still said to be one of the smoothest smartphones on the planet even after a year.
