They needed to isolate the chimes, the pure song. Keeping the other synth sounds isn't correct, that was part of the movies sound effects, it didn't come from the watch.

agree - really cheapens it, because it means it's a speaker rather than a mechanism ... not something really to be cherished and passed down - now ... that .. would be something ... that would do justice to the art and legacy of these films and music - probably be f***in' pricey though XD

@@melodymaker396 Back cover pries off. I just used a thin paring knife next to the time adjustment and it popped right off. CR2032 battery. Be careful when taking apart. One small screw and I mean 3 power reading glasses small. Remove screw, and two pieces holding in battery. Take pictures for putting back on. I did mine on a white paper plate, this will help you should you drop parts. Snap back in, being mindful of speaker and holes on back cover. Honestly this took me two minutes to do. Hope this helps.

Atrocious... That material belongs in a watch from the 1860s as much as a liquid crystal display would have belonged, and the music is just a snippet of the film's track (with actual vocals!) played through a terrible speaker, rather than pure proper sounds of only an actual mechanical watch chime. But it is, presumably, a 5-euro Ali quartz toy (which some will, no doubt, resell to the naïves as "high-quality, officially licenced film product", etc., for 100 euro).
