It was a privacy nightmare and personally I think that's why they dropped it. MANY countries all over the world had problems with it due to it's privacy invasion options. Even here all the way in the Netherlands the government were talking about it and trying to figure out how to deal with it. It would have cost Google billions in courtcases all over the world. Not worth the hassle.

What the fuck are you smoking? Google glass came out over a decade ago. Of course the Apple visions are going to be more functional. But here’s the thing, they’re not more functional than the quest 1, 2, 3, or pro and they cost 5 times as much as oculus’ most expensive device. Not to mention, all of its useful functions can be done on literally every smartphone. And you won’t look like you came straight from the movie idiocracy using your phone.

It's kinda good if you can access all AR pop-ups just by looking a little bit to the side, instead of letting whole thing obscuring your vision. Some stuff actually need to have full face-covering display, like plenty of VR games and watching cinema in virtual theatre, but what point in it, if you doing it in uncomfortable and heavy device?

Google is a glorified advertising company. Primary business is hoovering up people's personal info to sell it on. That's why strapping a Google camera to your face is creepy. Ditto for Facebook and to a slightly lesser extent Microsoft. That's Apple's biggest advantage - they actually sell products to humans, rather than the human being the product.

Apple Visions Pro has a wierd "Vision" in my opinion. It can not really replace the Phone yet so an extension to the phone would make way more sense. A light gogle that displays the important stuff just like my smartwatch. This makes it lighter. And would make it AR. You can still see the world as it is. No 12 Cameras or so required

Early “touch” screens didnt catch on because the interface was crap and the screen wasn't very sensitive. Android was still busy copying the Blackberry interface and Blackberry keyboard when Apple shuck things up.

Daydream is not that bad. It's just not supported on any devices and very heavy and you have to buy the new one not the old one. Glass used the camera as well as touchpad to track your hands
