Thank you very much for this guide, I just want to know if there is any way that I can percentage of progress without numbers? for example, I want to track mission progress, not including any numbers just texts.

For some reason my colour scale is a bit buggy? 0% is green and its not changing when I check boxes to change the value

So I’m trying to make it change only when there’s new info checked and color it differently time stamp but everything I have tried to do changes the date even when there’s no new total check boxes

what do you need to do before highlighting the cells so the values will appear on the column or row that you chose?

such a helpful video, thank you! but for the color formatting, mine doesn’t change to red or yellow when i tried unchecking boxes. it just stays green even if it’s at 0% 😢

I want make chose only one checkbox between 6 , I transferred xlsx file from Excel to sheets checkboxes are missing and now I add it manuall but can’t check one and uncheck other

ok having a problem I set checkbox value to 5 I have a checkbox in columns c,d,e,f I can change the color of column a by setting range to a and using =C1=5 then turn it red, that works I can do the same for d,e, and f and change the color to what ever I want. How do I add column c+d to make column A a different color so C1=5 is red and C1+D1=10 turns the red to a different color I want Column A to change color every time I click the checkbox when more then 1 box is checked it changes again

Great layout :-) if I wanted to have it count to four (false/1/2/3/4) instead of 1 (false/true) how could I do that? I like that for a habit tracker the checkbox is easy for a mobile device but instead of say “drink a lot of water” or little/no water, could I use it to count glasses of water (Eg 1/2/3/4 glasses). Essentially a counter vs opening the cell and inputting a number.

A counter? You could add the sum with the data validation then the conditional formatting to change the colors c: if you want at least. But then when you take the data validation, take the numbers (by highlighting all the checkboxes) then dividing by how how many you want. Or if you want it to be more extra, you could add the sum (like the video) then dividing to get the percentage. But if you just want the sum you could get it :)
