DSUM Function
The format of the DSUM function formula is:
=DSUM(database, field, criteria)
database is the area of the spreadsheet with a data header row followed by
data rows.
field is a data header. DSUM will sum the numbers that follow the data header.
criteria is zero or more conditions to sum the numbers.
Let's look at an example of DSUM function.
Example
=DSUM(F4:I9,I4,F11:I13)
DSUM returns the sum of numbers in column of cells, following cell I4, which is in the range F4 to I9, based on the criteria specified in the range F11 to I3.
SUMPRODUCT Function
The format of the DSUM function formula is:
=SUMPRODUCT(array1, [array2, …])
array1 is the first array or range, the data in each cell of which is multiplied
with the data in the corresponding cell of array2.
array2 is the second array, and its description is same as array1.
Example
=SUMPRODUCT(A34:A36,B34:B36)
Assume that cells A34, A35, and A36 have the values of 70, 80, and 90 respectively, and cells B34, B35, B36 have the values of 30,20,6. The function returns 4240.
