Hey! thank you so much for the deepdive about this beautiful function. I am curios if it is possible crosslink 2 files between eachother in the same table. I hope I'm not confusing you too much. Basically I have 2 tables: Questions and Answers. And I just want to connect them together. But the challenge is when the row is inserted in Questions table, I am have misaligned response rows from Question table. I'm really curious about this idea since it would allow me a data exchange without oversharing the file where the Experts are answering the questions. I really appreciate your support!

QUESTION: When you import the sum of range of cells (versus only the cell with total) from one workbook to another (not sheets within same wkbk) and you delete one value from the original range, do you have to adjust your formula? (As you mentioned when you link to the cell with total only).

5:04 Actually, you can just put the range in curly brackets and make an array, ={B4:B8} works just fine for that. And the same works for anything within the same worksheet where you're just importing a range, rather than wanting to get the result of some calculations performed on that range.

I have a question..I create a model for documents with hundreds of cell intervals (ex.B2:B2) linked between 1 sheet (imput) and other 4 sheets (ouputs) and I want to use it all with different data. If a create a copy it will create a new link and it should be update for every cell. Is there any way to update the link on the sheets, maybe with a multiple selection? I can't find an answer but I think it should be possible! Thnks in advance..

Hello, thank you very much for this tutorial. Taking about linking between tabs, I would like to be able link one cell of a tab and pass the content of the row of that cell to an other tab. Let me explain. In one tab (Base) I have a table of 4 rows and 4 columns (name, age, hobby, photo). The first column is the name. On an other tab (ID) I will present for one person an ID card with his/her name, hobby and photo. To go from Base tab, I would like to clic twice on the name (what ever the row) and then have in the ID tab that person popup. I remember years ago I had done this in Excel (still have the workbook) but can’t figure out how I did it and I would like to move to Google Sheets as it is multi-platform friendly. I hope I am clear !! Do you this this is possible in Google Sheets ? Thank you for any help you can provide me with.
