Hi, the workflow didn't work for me. Checked the GPS as turned on. While back and tried to upload the mp4 file to GSV, showing error message "Video does not contain more than 10 GPS points".

It's possible that the GPS signal was obscured by buildings or trees. Was the triangle solid white during the entire recording session? If you post the video file to a cloud service like google drive, then share the link at community.theta360.guide, you may be able to get more help. I just tried google streetviewstudio with the THETA X at 10 fps and it works in my workflow.

same here, so frustrating. Was one of the specific reasons I bought the X! yes, the triangle was solid white. Did you ever find a solution? Ricoh "support" was LESS THAN helpful....do have have current firmware? Do you record with the app?..........PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how can i make sure two uploaded blue lines connect?
@THETA360Developers Жыл бұрын
I believe it is a function of Google Streetview Studio. I don't think you can connect two separate video files unless the starting point is very close. You may be able to get better answer on the Google streetview forums. I would like to know as well.

Thank you for this, worked pretty2ell with my Theta X. The 1.1 mile, 24 minute video processed and I can see it on Google Maps, but there is no blue line associated with my route ?! The blue line appears in the studio app ... any ideas? Thanks

it may take several days for Google Streetview Studio to process the video and show it publicly. support.google.com/maps/answer/7546470 if it still does not show, then contact Google support using the online feedback form.

Hey can I still make a street view with a Ricoh Theta V? It doesn't do video or have gps. Its a one time gig for me though so I don't want to buy a whole new camera
@THETA360Developers Жыл бұрын
you can only get 4K video instead of 8K. You then need to use a separate GPS on your phone and match up the GPS data with the video. You can use the tool UL2GSV to help with frame extraction and GPS data embedding.

Does editing the video (to remove myself/camera) affect the GPS data?
@THETA360Developers Жыл бұрын
yes, editing may mess up the internal GPS (and IMU) data. Use the self-timer to get out of the picture.

Can this be done with the Theta Z1?
@THETA360Developers2 жыл бұрын
The published specification for the Z1 is 4K video vs the 8K 2fps of the X. Also, the Z1 does not have internal GPS. Using the 4K video, you would need to use an external GPS data logger on your mobile phone with the Z1 and then combine it with something like UL2GSV. With the Z1, you can use interval shooting, which is a different workflow, but you will get great photospheres.

Toyo Fujita used JPG2VID to make a video from images for Google Street View. I'll try it in the future. community.theta360.guide/t/introducing-street-view-studio-the-easiest-workflow-is-coming-to-ricoh-theta-users/8339?u=craig

Can we use AI image editing techniques like Google's Magic Eraser to automatically, and with minimal visual aberration, take ourselves out of the Street View images?
@THETA360Developers2 жыл бұрын
I don't think you can erase the photographer with this technique (Google Street View Studio). You can theoretically download the 8K 2fps video from the THETA X to a laptop and then use video editing software to modify the video prior to uploading. I have not tried any type of editing on the video. If you hear of any way to do this in post-production, post a note on the forum. I do not think there is any software that can run on the THETA X or a mobile phone that can do this yet. If you want to do interval shooting of still images (with the Z1, X, V, or SC2) and then convert to video, you can use JPG2VID in the UL2GSV suite. It is more time-consuming, but you will get better results community.theta360.guide/t/introducing-street-view-studio-the-easiest-workflow-is-coming-to-ricoh-theta-users/8339?u=craig

Rather than uploading a video is it possible to add 360 images? Images taken every 10sec/10 meters.... edited images rather than video screenshots?
@THETA360Developers2 жыл бұрын
I believe that in order to do the blue lines, you need to convert the image into a video clip. See this article by Toyo Fujita of Ikoma360 community.theta360.guide/t/introducing-street-view-studio-the-easiest-workflow-is-coming-to-ricoh-theta-users/8339?u=craig Toyo used a tool called JPG2VID from the UL2GSV suite from Dean Z. The suite is free to use. Payment for the UL2GSV suite is optional. Personally, I paid, but it is up to you.
