This is a "pull at your heart string" gimmick that ad companies do. Coca-Cola was very good at doing this from the 1960s. Search "Buy the World a Coke" holiday comercial - same vibe. Google just has such a huge platform - it makes it seem like SOMEHOW this is "all new". Humans have been doing amazing things everyday for millions of years.
