Really impressive how spot on and accurate and detailed their physics appear and how good their quality of videos truly is in comparison to other AI video gens, try replicating for example the coins in box vs marble physics with other AI video gens and you would see that it is not as convincing and detailed/accurate as Veo 2, so this is next level AI type of video generator, incredible.

We’ve had extremely affordable and perfectly capable cameras and lenses for a while, just as we have affordable (sometimes free) editing software. There are plenty of actors around eager for an opportunity to work. The only thing stopping people is the willingness to work and learn how to make stuff that works - which is what many think AI will do for them: they just need to have a broad idea and AI will make them look like they know what they’re doing. That’s not filmmaking, nor artistic expression. That’s a circus act.

How many times has a film been made based on a novel and the author was totally dismayed and frustrated at what the "artists" did with the novel? When AI video is perfected, that author can make the film adhere to the source material book as closely as desired, with no heavy handed studio execs, no ego-driven directors or difficult divas to contend with, and it can be done quickly. That's just one example.

The realism is advancing so quickly now. The movements inside the tomato as it's being cut. The subtle bouncing of the jalopy truck's hood as the truck drives down the road - evidently, VEO imagined that a beat up truck with lots of worn off paint might have a hood that isn't latched well. Impressive. I don't care if these are cherry-picked, they show what the model is capable of. What is cherry-picked today will be average results tomorrow and every single result will be even better than that soon. I expect sometime in 2025-2026 AI video will be practically flawless. Unfortunately, Gemini 2.0 Flash direct refuses to generate or even accept uploaded images of people, ANY people, including _fictional_ characters. How asinine. I expect VEO to be similarly censored when it releases to the public, despite these examples including people.

So is this actually able to handle the laws of physics and Earths Gravity? Because in these examples, it looks like its trying but the car driving through that waterfall has no weight to it. Its still too light. AI needs to realise that things weigh more then a feather. And even in these examples, things still randomly turn into other things.
