The unit has lithium polymer Type of battery and with my years of experience they hate being left fully charged for long periods of time they tend to swell and puff up and die. For long periods they require storage voltage but that defeats the purpose. Putting it away three-quarter charge could get it to last longer without puffing up and still be useful. The people that make these things don't tell you this they would prefer Your battery to swell and die it would seem. Others use lithium ion which are better . These are the batteries you will find in laptops etc. and can probably hold a full charge without hazard but I'm not as experienced with this cell

Yes, but this does not use ones like in cell phones but are LifePO4 cells which are decent. I have been using jumpers since the mid 90's, and they were heavy and the lead acid batteries were a pain of which was best to keep them on a charger until needed but these newer ones last a long time between charges. I top mine off if needed every 6 months or if I use them then I will top it off. GooLoo are a strong jumper, and I have given family members them for the last 6 years and most are still going strong and this jumper sold well for me with no returns. Thanks for watching!
