Goomburra Valley Campground really is PERFECTION! This campground offers an incredible camping experience for all... kids, their parents... solo campers, grandparents and families of every size!
With something for everyone, and 2 amazing hosts that are also just down to earth, great people in their own right... this place will make you want to return over and over again.
Bike tracks, communal camp kitches, a coffee shop, communal firepits, laundry, hot showers, flushing toilets, a beautiful creek running through the property, chickens and fresh eggs, amazing views... you will kick yourself for not knowing about this property sooner.
Goomburra Valley Campground is located in Goomburra, just over the western side of Cunninghams Gap, and borders right along Main Range National Park. The best part... it is WITHIN 2 hours of Brisbane! This one really is a hidden little gem!
With Main Range National Park, right next door, on those days when you feel like getting out and about, there are 2 great lookouts to go check out, as well as a beautiful waterfall hidden away deep within the forest to discover!
If that isn't enough, the small rural town of Allora is just 20 minutes drive away... Allora is famous for many things, one of them being, the home of the author of Mary Poppins... Pamela Lawlor. You can check out this amazing house at any time, but if you want a peek inside, you do need to book in advance.
Allora is a charming country town full of character... as well as a fantastic butcher! Allora Butchery serve up a very tasty arrangement of meats for you to take back to camp and cook up over the campfire! Make sure to stop in and grab some, and keep supporting these little towns!

Lake Moogerah Campground has the BEST camp kitchen anywhere. Huge undercover area with several microwaves several BBQ electric plates. Huge fridge. Stainless everywhere. Its fantastic. Have used it a few times when our microwave wouldn’t work. This is the campground with the boat ramps. One for campers the other for day trippers.

The name Winder is due to an old WW2 half track that was adapted with a winch. It was used to lower logs down to laidley creek. The path that the logs were winched down was called a chute. There were several such chutes in the goomburra state forest. The locations of the chutes are shown on the Dept Of Forestry map for the area ( not sure if still in print). Last time I was there 10 years ago the old half track was still there.

Hey Rob, great video! Thankyou for doing that. My cousin live in the next town to AL-OR-AR ( Allora) ,clifton. My mum was born in clifton its a tiny town like allora but it's just lovely. Goomburra valley is so beautiful, and there's another camp ground near it called Gordon country. It's stunning!!! You need to check that out, if you already havn't. 😊. Oh don't forget to check that yowie statue out in kilcoy. 😉, in the park near jimna state forest.🎉
