It’s weird bc Joe Harris has a 90 3-ball and his perimeter D is better than like Curry but he shot pretty bad. IRL even if everyone was healthy this year and without any mandate they’d still have a problem at the 5. If Blake could shoot and defend like he did last year you would just run Kyrie Harris Ben KD Blake and it’d be absolutely perfection. Blake shot like 38.5% in regular season and like 39% in playoffs from 3 and defended well last season. Then you’d have Joe Harris who’s not a great defender but he’s like 6”7 or something at the 2 and a flamethrower. Obv Kyrie is Kyrie. Then you’d have Ben to put on the best like 1-3, Blake did well against bigs last year, and KD is a really good defender still when he’s locked in. So that’d allow you to put Kyrie on the worst guard and Harris is decent enough with his size. It’d really be the absolute perfect lineup. Blake falling off this year hurt them a ton. LA also isn’t shooting very well from 3 this year. I think they’re gonna have a reallyyyyy hard time this season even if magically Kyrie can play home games and KD comes back soon healthy. Gotta worry about Ben coming back playing well too. They’re gonna be like the 8 seed and have to win in to the playoffs. I think this more sets them up for next season. By then you’d think the mandate would be lifted. Ben should be integrated well. KD should be 100%. You’ve got Curry and hopefully Patty stays, if not Cam Thomas looks like he can replace Patty as a bench guard who can get buckets. They’ll have Harris healthy bc it doesn’t look like he’s gonna come back this season. Then they’ll have some picks they can move. Not sure if they can move the PHI ‘27 pick or not, but they’ll be able to move the PHI ‘22 1st, (or ‘23 if they defer) their own ‘29 1st which should be really juicy to other teams if they do wanna move it, and they could even trade their own ‘28 pick swap too. So they’ll have some ammo to maybe get a stretch 5 (like a Christian Wood or whatever) as well as the tax payer MLE to maybe bring in a better SF or whatever.
