Most components are shared between Huracan and R8. Specially all the main structures. The monocoque is the only thing that really differs from the R8 the front structure and engine structures are pretty much equal as they are both developed under the same roof. You can look also in VW for some parts as a lot is shared (specially electrical components which are the same within the whole VW group). I used to be Lamborghini factory race driver and if you need anything in particular you can’t find anywhere i’ll pass you a good contact inside over there. Keep it up!

Engine start problems: I think that this might be a software-level kill switch blocking the engine starter. It's aim is preventing potential engine damage after the car's computer detected that the car was in an accident. You probably can disable it if you hook up a service computer to the car.

If there are two big cables going to the battery and one ends in a small plastic box, than it might be a cut of, due to the blown airbag. It is basically a small explosive, that cuts off power to the drive train. Everything else works. BMW s have that a lot. But you can bridge that with a screwdriver, but you will have to get a new power cable. Haven't worked on a Lamborghini yet, but it just sounds exactly like that could be the problem... Keep up the good work! Greetings from Germany

Carsten S. Samcrack had a similar situation on one of his Audi builds.The black 4door sedan. R8? If I recall, all his dash lights came on, and car had full power, just no start. Battery terminal had some sort of fusible link that blew.
@Vangent875 жыл бұрын
The Volkswagen Group own Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley and Bugatti. The R8 and Huracan are built on the same platform and share majority of their parts due to Volkswagen owning them all. The Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga, Audi Q8 are also built on the same platform and share slot of parts. you’ll often see Lamborghini, Audi or Volkswagen stamped on multiple pieces. When you’re looking for parts like a starter or something cross reference those numbers with other Volkswagen models and you can usually get the same part off of another model and pay 70% less than if you ordered it from Lamborghini.
@tonymmiranda7965 жыл бұрын
Bro if your statement of saving 70% is true then this message gotta get back to these goonz! These boys are go getters and in time they will develop the knowledge and wisdom that some of the fans have acquired from thier own endeavors. I wish nothing but good for these fellas.
@Vangent875 жыл бұрын
Idk if it’s quite 70% that’s a little exaggerated but example the starter of a murcielago is around $3,000 from Lamborghini. It happens to be the same starter from a Toyota Tundra which is a couple hundred. The reason for that is it’s made by Bosch and they sold that starter to a lot of manufacturers. Will yours have a Lamborghini Logo on it? No but it would have the same part number. That example is even more prevelant now that Lamborghini is owned by Volkswagen who manufacture tons of different cars on tons of different platforms and parts and technology are shared between them. So knowing your part number and being able to cross reference that is important. Will it always be 70% no and it won’t be true or available for every part. Like a side airbag or a seat airbag is probably the same throughout Volkswagen, Bentley, Audi and Lamborghini so don’t buy it from Lamborghini buy it from Volkswagen it’ll be cheaper. When it comes to things like that they aren’t going to specifically design an airbag for that car they’re going to use one that’s used in a VW Golf and proven to work. Body panels are obviously a different story but the mechanical stuff can often be sourced considerably cheaper
@Takis_Koll5 жыл бұрын
And that's how Lamborghini lost its ''value''. Isn't a Lamborghini anymore...Its a freaking Audi. Germans know very well how to fuck up everything that stands out..

@@Vangent87 i know the 70 % isn't important but the point of cross referencing part numbers and saving money is ? So by any means possible id like to see this commit and point brought up and shown to the fans. Welder can do more then one project while parts for the car is only for that car
@francoisfranceschini79475 жыл бұрын
Tommy Aventador that would be like saying “I bought a lube shop to help me save on my oil changes” no a 4,000 welder will not pay itself in the “first few welds” especially considering you can rent these for like $60 a day. Its a good investment for these guys, but it is still one the most expensive machines in a shop. Edit: Gas for welding is also pretty expensive. They will also need to fit 220v outlets and tigs use a lot of power, like noticeable in the power bill lot. Tigs aren’t cheap to buy or run.

Sweet project guys!!! Many years ago, I bought a 1967 Shelby GT350 that had been damaged when it hit a telephone pole just behind the passenger door. The owner told me he was doing some holeshots trying to impress his new girlfriend. He ended up going sideways and hit the pole. The car needed a complete restoration as well as the crash damage repaired. As I stripped the car, I put hardware in zip bags and labeled the bag where they were taken from. It can be time-consuming, but it saved a lot of time because I knew where everything belonged. When it started to go back together, I wire-wheeled any hardware that was painted or rusted and refinished them. Of course, I had to buy some new hardware, but most of what came off of the car was reused. It saved me a lot of time and money. I say all this to say, don't lose your hardware and try to keep track as to where it goes.
