Storage tip. Put bolts, nuts, washers etc in bags and put painters tape on the bag with what the items in said bag are for. Then do the same with totes but make sure they are the heavy duty ones. If you write on painters tape it's easy to take off and it doesn't leave a bunch of residue.

A label maker will save the tops of the totes and then when finished you can remove them. A 53' container with custom shelves should be more than enough for two builds.

To free up space in the shop after disassembling put all your totes and larger pieces in a steel container like Eleazar has at his house. Place it just outside the baydoor or just off the side of it.

You guys might want to look at picking up a couple of Sea Cans as they are great for storing and organizing the parts from the builds as well as keeping the item secure and dry. You have plenty of space to set them up on your property. They will even keep the rodents and insects out when properly sealed. put a little ball hitch /plate on the back of the mini bike so it can be used in the yard ,garden,garage with a little yard trailer for a parts hauler to haul brush,bags of mulch,car parts,tools...when my dad worked for ma bell white westing-house they had trikes to ride through the warehouses from building to building...

Mercedes vehicles are built differently than others, they are well engineered, thats why it is easy to work with. As you mentioned it's opposite to Italian stuff which is just assembled without thinking about future repairs 😉

I also have noco products. 2 3500s, and one is a full time battery trickle charger for a backup battery setup for my sump pump. Also at the drive in used a Noco booster box to boost 2 vehicles.

Yes you guys need a shipping Container. Inside put shelving. On one side of it. In the front make space for big items and then the back. Shells for small items. Inspected container inside with door closed see if there's any light coming through. Get some rubber paint like flexible. Coat the top of the container make sure there was no leaks. I would've put blank mailing sticker labels on there to write parts info so you could always use the boxes for future builds. If you wanna remove the permanent marker, get you an expo dry erase marker and draw over the permanent marker and watch it be erased after you wipe it off.

Hey fellas, you have to go to Home Depot by eight sheets of 4 x 8 plywood three-quarter and build a stage on both sides of the frame machine so you will have room to work. Make sure you put casters on the legs so you could move it around and be safe.

My grandfather had racks with castors on them, so when they stripped a vehicle down they labeled everything and put them on those racks so they could roll them into a storage room until they were ready to put the vehicle back together, then All they had to do was roll those racks right back out to the vehicle and put it back together. Most of the time it took two racks per vehicle so it only took two trips to store all the parts and two trips to bring them all back out, instead of 50 trips back and forth carrying a part or two at a time. lol.

You guys should think about rearranging the shop. Get another three vehicle stacker and place next to the other. Move the scissor lift over. Take the tire/wheel machines and move them to the other side of shop or the back left corner. Build you a mezzanine over the frame machine for parts storage and line with racks. You have the post lift already in place. Get work done and store parts on the left of shop, store the keepers on the right side. Back the boats right down the middle like you do already. The wasted space in the shop is overhead.
