It wasn't only that Jayce broke his promise to destroy the hexcore, but also his promise not to weaponize hextech. Jayce may have been able to convince Victor to stay but when Victor picked up Sky's notebook, the schematics for the new hextech weaponry were on the desk. It was after seeing those that Victor says he can't stay.

I love Sevika. In a way, she was more loyal to the cause than either Vander or Silco, and she understands better than anyone the work it takes to run an entire city and keep it functioning. What she's lacking though is the charisma to be a leader like Vander by inspiring or Silco by intimidating The chem-barons don't respect her, despite how competent she is, and you can imagine the citizens feel much the same. It's interesting to watch the weight of that finally settle on her, the knowledge that she doesn't have a Vander or a Silco to rely on anymore. She needs to learn how to solve this problem on her own, and it won't be easy

Silco may not have used his teeth that much, but throughout this show, we do see several characters using their teeth. Jinx pulls grenade pins with hers, Isha and Cait bite enemies. On the other hand, Vi gets a tooth knocked out, and both Vi and Sevika destroy other people's jaws.

Jayce's "I never asked for this" spiel is fairly relevant. Like, yeah, I get the "It's not about you" mindset, but in that moment, Viktor is leaving because he's upset with Jayce, so Jayce is justifying saving Viktor's life with the Hexcore. He's basically saying "You try sticking to principles and promises when the person you care most about is on the brink of death." And yeah, Jayce's actions were still the wrong choice, but it's fair for him to make that argument in that moment.

Your interest in the eugenics angle on Viktor's trajectory is one I share. I think it is a really important aspect of his character. There are a few things in this episode that are interesting regarding that: 1 - Huck has always worn glasses, and was wearing broken to the point of nearly unusable glasses when Viktor healed him. After being healed his glasses are just gone, his eyes have changed, and he doesn't seem to mind. 2 - When Viktor sees Sky in the lab earlier in the episode she is very similar to how she was in life. She wears her glasses, she seems timid. After Viktor heals Huck she appears again, this time without glasses, confident. There is a ton more hinted at here I won't get into until later episodes when more is revealed. One question to ponder is: Is it eugenicist if you remove someone's disability if they wanted you to? As someone with a couple disabilities and divergences from normativity my answer would be no. (Full disclosure I am an ethical transhumanist)

I think the point at which it becomes eugenics is when a state or other authority starts to treat people differently and try to fit them into a mold. If you have a procedure that massively improves your quality of life, I don't see why you wouldn't generally take it, but I understand why you would want a choice. It's when you are then required by the state or by the market to take it to survive, it becomes a point of leverage and a cause for discrimination. Powers that be already have plenty of ways to separate people into normal and undesirable, so transhumanism is not eugenics - it's a concept that is often used by them to justify oppression and hate.

I am really fascinated on how they're going to take this. If someone offered to take my disability? Please, right now, do it. But there are other parts of my genes that make life harder that some people might want removed and others not. Would my life be easier if I was straight? Would have avoided a lot of bullying, and in high school, I might have said yes, please change that so I'm not being treated this way. But perspectives on ourselves alter over time and what is acceptable in society changes over time as well so while I understand wanting to rid ourselves of life-altering disabilities, it's the other facets, like Sky being shy vs confident, that can also be seen as 'fixable' things that would make life easier, but I don't believe we should think about touching. Even if someone asked to be healed to be more confident, is that within the realm of ethical or not? If someone asks to be more attractive because that would make it easier to get a date or get cast in a movie, is that ethical? It's this crazy slippery slope of where we draw the line of 'this is legitimately making a person better off' and 'yes life would be easier if we managed to eliminate timidness.' Very excited to see where Viktor ends up on this slope.

Jayce just survived an attack himself, he was still in shock and had little time for decision-making. It's tough, especially when it's your best friend's life on the line. Not that I'm defending him, because what he did was obviously wrong, but I understand why he did it, sort of.

No, silco didnt regret turning powder into into jinx, he kept saying to her that jinx is perfect. If he regretted that then he wouldnt have said that shes perfect at the end. He wanted her to be jinx and kill of powder, just like what he did to himself. Yea it was unhealthy but he was ready to give up his ultimate dream, the nation of zaun, for jinx.

This is super true. However, both Vi and Silco had the wrong perspective on Jinx/Powder in Season 1; Vi wanted to have only Powder and Silco wanted to have only Jinx. That's not possible, since she's both of them, and as many times as Jinx says "Powder fell down a well/died/is gone," I don't think she can actually get rid of that part of herself. Silco only accepts her as she is, regardless of Jinx/Powder, as he's dying; he finally realizes he loves her *as she is* even if she's not the weapon against topside that he wanted her to be. Vi doesn't get to that point in S1 at all.

tbf i think christian linke only said that viktor is ace cuz he doesnt like the jayvik ship (that man is literally beefing and insulting people that like jayce and viktor together) and says like this they cannot be together (which is total bs since ace people can still be in relationships lol) even some animators, writers, official league accounts and some of the voice actors like Mels (who is posting jayce and viktor stuff on her instagram like everyday) are completely fine with it but somehow christian seems to be the only one thats super angry with this pairing which is such a shame

I think one of the main reasons he is so angry about the ship is because he views Jayce as an self-inserd of himself, he sees himself as Jayce (he has apparently said this in interviews) and he hates that people could see "manly man" Jayce (and so also himself) as queer in any way. And that is why he throws out the "Viktor can't be in love with Jayce, he's ace" card, not because Viktor is actually ace (there has been no mention of it in any way before this, at least I have not seen any.) but because he wants the ship to die. Which is funny because shipping happens no matter their sexuality and obivously being ace doesn't stop a person from having romanitc feelings towards someone.

Hey, just wanted to comment that I hear you about ace characters, and you made me realize a few things about it. I agree, and I needed to hear it from someone who’s ace because otherwise I think I would’ve continued existing with my preconceptions in place. I am bi, and until _very_recently we also had very little (and very damaging) representation in media. It baffles me that I was so painfully aware of that fact while also being blind to other branches of the LGBTQ umbrella going through the same thing. Here’s hoping that we’ll get cool representation for Ace folks, like we’ve been recently been getting for Bi folks (Vax in particular has helped me SO much in figuring stuff out about myself, he’s everything I’ve ever needed). Bi representation went from 0 to 100 in what felt like no time at all, and all that change comes from people like you who speak out about these things. I’ve always admired your frankness, please keep being loud and “annoying” since it’s _exactly_ that kind of people that end up making a difference. Maybe not individually, but because of how you help folks like me see the things I’d otherwise be oblivious to.

I think part of Heimerdinger's silliness and lack of ability to focus on certain serious things when he really should might just be the nature of his species? Almost every yordle is just a Goofy Lil Guy who is obsessed with one thing and one thing only and is barely aware of the world around them aside from that At least one of them literally has voicelines in the game that make it pretty clear he has no idea he's in the middle of a battle and doesn't intend or notice that people are dying to the explosives he's putting everywhere
