What Cassandra has going on is a very nasty cocktail of Stockholm Syndrome, genuine resentment for being left behind, magical mind control and a fuckton of trauma. That girl is going to need _all_ the therapy.

A tiny bit worried that we haven't seen any activity from you for a while, after the glorious abundance of uploads recently. I hope you haven't been caught up in the natural disasters, not sure which part of the US you live in. If you are in one of those zones, then I hope you're somewhere safe, and not thinking about youtube at all. Once the danger passes, it will be good to see your videos again, but they are the least important thing. Be safe, be kind, know that the world is better with you in it. <3

1:00:15 fun fact, this table is a replication of the one they played their second campaign at. They had it custom made so they could all face each other, while having good sightlines for the cameras and a little niche cutout for Matt the DM.

50:05 Percy is so smart it loops back around to dumb occasionally. He's kind of a mirror to Grog that way. Who is so stupid it loops around to wise at times.

When talking about the choir that comes in the start of Storm, since you have the foresight of already knowing about Posideon it makes sense to draw the connection of the choir being some foreshadowing for him. But thinking about the song as an individual, I like to think about the choir being for the storm itself, it is the antagonist of the song.

Kyra, you have a friend here, i'm a good listener, and we can talk about anything, but i also love Legend of Vox Machina and i'm excited for your reaction to Season 3. We may not like everything the same, but i will gladly be here if you need me. Also season 3 has been lit up hot, i mean real hot. A bit of spicy to.

I found your channel just as i thought I've finished every good Reaction/Analysis type content for Hazbin/Helluva theese are the content i enjoy the most on KZbin, but for me, you were spot on. I really enjoyed the journey with you and i know I'll keep enjoing your Content <3 And i love how in-depth your reactions are, seeing you talking enthusiastically about something that I'm very enthusiastic about feels great! i can listen to you for hours

These reactions and discussions fill me with a childlike joy, seeing someone else so in love with a show and its characters that I genuinely cannot wait to see what you’ll think of season 3 whenever you begin watching it. You’ve got to be doing something right because I almost never have anything nice to say with these reaction channels.

I hope you do find the table to screen videos! Some of them are great and really show how things progressed IRL if you will. So, don't listen to people talking about the bathtub. It is a spoiler for something funny that happens in the future, but will spoil something that you don't want to know ahead of time. Something interesting about the Vax arc right here. When they were playing through the game, around the time that Vex 'died' Liam (Vax's player/actor) lost his father. He was definitely going through some things and has said since then that the Raven Queen arc was therapeutic for him and working through that loss and mourning.

Hope you're doing well Kyra, and I am so excited for your season 3 reactions already. Please take all the time you need to get to them, but I wanted you to know that if the reason was that KZbin Content ID was flagging the full videos, that I would happily subscribe to a patreon to be able to see them. (Also would happily subscribe to a Patreon either way to be honest.) Love the work!!!

I watched the D&D game and have watched these episodes a few times myself already and I STILL start crying when Percy opens that tomb! They get so into it in the game and that emotion 100% translates into their voice acting for the show!

re. Lord de Rolo having no interest in increasing the residuum production: residuum is Exandria's equivalent of nuclear technology - it can do a lot of good, but in the wrong hands it can also be very destructive (this has been a running theme across all three campaigns). Selling an increased yield would mean find more buyers - and turning a blind eye to WHY those buyers wanted residuum...

Sorry for the late comment but congratulations! I first found your channel thanks to your Hazbin hotel and Helluva boss videos and now I'm watching your Vox Machina videos which are awesome btw. I likewise don't have many friends to share/talk about the shows I'm interested in which is probably why I enjoy watching reaction videos so much. Thank you for the videos you put out and the time and effort you put in. Trust me it shows🙂😊

I watched the hundreds of real-play that they published, and I'm a big D&D player myself. I get the "now I can see what they're doing" in the fights, and I 100% agree. The creators of the show did such a good job catering to two completely different audiences while still making both happy. There are tons of inside jokes that get slipped in, but they're not so obvious to leave viewers who never watched the game out of what's happening. Anyway, I think you're awesome and I hope you enjoy the ride!

Yeah even without the vampire mindcontrol stuff, ive personally had trouble as far as putting any blame on Cass. a freshly tortured, abandoned, orphaned 13 year old girl, being groomed by the Briarwoods for the last half decade. Yeah Percy couldnt have gone back for her, but Cass having resentment for being left behind, tied up in her abusive relationship with the briarwoods, I cant imagine what living in those conditions would do to someone.

A bit of a late reply to this, but I’ve just caught up on these reactions. You’ve quickly become one of my favorite TLOVM reactors ever. I love how you can get in depth discussing story themes and character motivations, but you’re also not afraid to just fangirl out, especially when it comes to your ships. You also really seem to “get” the characters. A lot of reactors seem quick to put characters into “boxes” as a means of defining them, but one of my favorite things about this series and these characters is how they aren’t one-dimensional, even if they may seem it at first glance. They all have flaws and they all have moments of doubt, but they also have a lot of character growth. This is obviously explored much more deeply in the original campaign, but I think the show still does a good job of highlighting it. I’m so glad you can see it too. Since you’re a big shipper (which, same), I have a couple of pieces of cute real life couple lore to share. I haven’t read through all the comments, so forgive me if either of these has been mentioned before, but I thought you might appreciate them: As others have stated, the tabletop version of the Kevdak fight was translated pretty faithfully here. The moment when Vex put Grog in the locket was obviously an amazingly cool and unconventional battle tactic, but it was also an act of love. Laura wanted to give Travis that moment of glory. She didn’t know for sure how it would work out, but she really wanted her husband to have that opportunity to do something spectacular. The fact that Travis rolled a Nat 20 just made it that much sweeter. I also caught the Avatar quote reference, which was fitting in more ways than one. “That’s rough, buddy” is Matt and Marisha’s way of showing love and support to each other when one of them is having a bad time. Matt has talked about it before in an interview how, when you love someone, it’s not always about fixing their problems. Sometimes it’s about acknowledging their struggles and just being there for them. That’s how he describes their relationship, the two of them seeing each other as complete people with flaws and insecurities and loving each other through it all. Again, love your reactions and I’d love to see you cover lots of table to screen and behind the scenes content in the future. And let’s all brace ourselves for Season 3!

1:33:01 The way you describe Umbrasyl’s aesthetic here reminds me of the way a beloved character from Campaign 3 might describe him, had they met.
