I'm sure Tom is going to have a more in depth explanation, but I'll give a short run down. The boy is in a state of perpetual sleep until a specific date, and IU, in wanting to skip the waiting process, builds a time machine and time travels to that date, 191231, or December 31st, 2019, which was actually around the time that Above the Time was dropped, 8 years later. When she travels though, something breaks the spell and the boy wakes up and sees her leave. The train is called the "Fantasy Express" which hints that either what she sees from the train are her dreams/fantasies, or a potential future that hasn't been set in stone. Some tie-ins to Above the Time are the train, which is in the boy's house in that video, the wrist clock, which he still has in that video, and the goose, which is with her in her weird pocket dimension of sheet music. In that video it seems like they are stick in separate but connected universes and are still waiting to meet again, likely as a result of IU's time travel messing up.

To explain what happened, the time on the guy's arm was the time she entered on the "time machine". IU initially thought that was when guy would wake up, so she travels to the future; but as she leaves, he wakes up. But it all works out in the end because it turns out, the time on his arm is when they meet and not actually when he wakes up.

As others have said, you gotta react to Good Day. That and Red Shoes for another side of her. So, here's what I have heard about the videos and their connections. I'm simplifying/leaving out a lot here. Her grandfather was working on a time machine, but wasn't able to complete it. She has fallen for the guy, but he's older than her. She feels like she can't wait to be old enough to be with him so she decides to finish the time machine and travel 8 years into the future to december 31st 2019 (incidentally the date that Above The Time released). This song is her singing about how she wants to be with him and is willing to do anything to do so. She completes the time machine and leaves for the future. In Above The Time (korean title reads more like "Beyond Time"), she's been trapped in this other world since her time machine didn't work as intended, but they are able to meet up due to the connection with the clock she drew on his hand. After they finally meet, the connection between them is strengthened and he finally is able to help her get back to the right world. In Blueming, they are finally in the same world together and exchange texts and phone calls as their relationship deepens, and at the end eventually decide to meet face to face. There's a lot of imagery related to blue roses. Blue roses do not exist in real life, and have often been used symbolically to represent impossible or unattainable love. The rose she draws on his hand in Above The Time is drawn in blue, making reference to this. I've only skimmed the surface of how the MVs are connected and what they represent here, there's a *lot* more stuff I've completely glossed over but that's the tl;dr for the videos.
