Idk man... Army Corps of Engineers built a rock ramp in Frankenmuth with the intention of walleye passage. The last rung of the ramp is nearly impassible and roughly 3 feet high. Now I'm no expert, but I am an angler - and walleye don't jump

@Eric Buhr it's really iffy. The water is either completely blown up and the ramp impassable due to the gradient or too low for fish to shoot the gaps between rocks. Long story short I emailed the US Fish and Widlife and they actually confirmed the walleye they were tagging below the dam in the spring as test samples were being found 45 days later....below the dam

Jimmy, could you and Jenny do an episode update to "Do Not Eat’ fish, PFAS advisory for Huron River" next or when and if people will be able to fish Kent Lake, Bellville Lake as well as other lakes hit by this.

Good episode overall, I usually turn off the tv as soon as I see a segment that includes youngdyke, but thankfully his role was limited to a couple seconds, thumbs up.

Really didn't give much of an update on the asian carp, only that there are a lot of people that don't want them in the great lakes system and they're bad where they have been...

14:40!!! Coming from a person who has done 8 years of Fisheries Research... ALEWIFE ARE NOT NATIVE PLANKTIVORES!
@billoeming24404 жыл бұрын
@Eric Buhr They are now naturalized from being here for 70+ years, but they originlly came from the Atlantic via the Welland Canal. They are planktivores and they were the reason Salmon were brought to the Great Lakes in the first place. They also mow on zoops thier whole life.

Don't need Deeks with mechanical spinning necks during the early season. Should have invested that money on clay pigeons instead ;)
