To disable cartoony effects go into customisation and then go go onto tags and finally choose the classic one at the top

@@Goosiest nah sadly. it can be done thru mods tho. also the new drifting is only in online mode. After you go into online mode, you need to buy the "drift pro" tires- NOT the normal drift ones. Cant wait for you to (properly) check it out! :)

Drift Pro Tires, Drift Pro Events, and Drag Racing events are Online-only. Story mode players can't access any of it whatsoever unless something's been patched, and knowing EA, that hasn't happened.

The new Drift Handling is multiplayer only, not sure if you did start playing multiplayer but if you go to multiplayer you might start having alot of money (1.000.000 i think). With all of that money you can just upgrade your garage to unlock Sport,Pro,Super and Elite parts. Now that you've upgraded your garage to Elite you have now access to the new Drift Handling, go to tires, and look for the tire named "Elite Drift Pro Tires", it costs 20k. And boom there you go, CarX drift physics in Unbound.

This game is a full arcade racing game, it should be enjoyed with a controller. And since this is an arcade racing game with arcade (and somewhat shitty) physics, I don't think having force feedback on wheels is a good thing. For example, while drifting in this game you can flick your car from one side to another in like not even half a second, and the force feedback system will definitely malfunction with that much countersteer. P.S. In order to enjoy the new drifting physics you MUST install the "drift pro" tyres (It's multiplayer only iirc), those "drift" tyres you're using won't do.

3:50 you can't really "disable" the effects, but they did release new effects that only have smoke, there's colors, then white and black. If you don't like the effects you have options at least. They even released a new effect with Update 7 that melts the surface as you drive, lmao, i haven't used it yet.

Need for speed titles used to be a force to be reckoned with. It's a shame really because those of old enough to have originally played underground, hot pursuit and pro street titles would have thought that this franchise can do no wrong and stand the test of time. Graphically this game looks great. The cars and the look of city is definitely top quality. But you just can't ignore the elephant in the game and its those awful cartoon add-on which just drags the game down.

you can disable it but only on yourself, by equipping it in vanity items the driving effect named Original, it will disable the cartoon effect and replace the cartoony smoke with normal smoke but it will apply only on your car

You can turn off the effects completely, its listed under vanity items. To test the new drift update, go into online play - PVP - Pro drift event. You'll get a loaner car with the new parts & physics or you can use your own car if you have 1.

You can only purchase the drift tires on a AWD car, it's called pro drift tires or smth at the end of tires section. And to turn off the effects go to style and you'll find it somewhere👍🤓
