Thank you for the great video! My model is different but it's a similar Chinese import like yours. The instructions were terrible (both the manual's and the company's when I reached out to them) and fortunately I discovered your video! As a way of giving something back, having used my treadmill for a few months now, I found a couple of tricks and tips that work well. a) Save time and reduce alignment issues by doing 10 half-turns to loosen (not 15) and simply applying oil lubricant under each half of the belt. This way you avoid having to loosen it too much while at the same time you loosen it enough to get the job done. b) Rule: when you align, only 'lock' when done with aligning - namely, 'lock' the last step of the alignment ONLY. For example: say you get a gap on the right (belt deviates to the left); then do 1 half-turn anticlockwise on the left screw and 1 half-turn clockwise on the right screw, like you did. Then check if it is aligned. If it is, like in your video, then lock it by doing a half-turn clockwise on the right. However, if it is NOT aligned yet and say it still deviates to the left a bit, repeat this step (1 half-turn anticlockwise left and 1 half-turn clockwise right) without locking. Once it is aligned, then 'lock' it by a half-turn clockwise on the right (in this case). Or if (say) the last step you did for alignment was to stop a deviation on the right (last gap was on the left) then 'lock' in this case by a half-turn clockwise on the left (to stop deviation to the right). The point is, only do the 'locking' step for the LAST alignment you had to do to bring the treadmill to the middle (aligned), not at each alignment sub-step you do. c) Sometimes it may look as if there is a gap on left or right as you walk on treadmill when there is not one. To ensure if there is one, get off the treadmill and get it to 0.5 MPH or 1 KPH depending on your machine's units. Watch carefully if there is deviation. If no deviation while you are not on it, it probably means it needs a bit of tightening. In this case, turn left and right screws each by one half-turn clockwise. d) Careful not to tighten the belt too much. If you do, you will know because the motor will make weird noises, it will get quite hot, you may lose your balance etc. In this case, loosen it once (half turn both left and right screws anticlockwise). e) It may seem you could bypass this slightly laborious process by simply pushing the long tip of the lube under a tightened belt and attempt to go zig-zag. It won't work well; what you get is spots with lots of oil and others with none. As a result, the oil can never properly get distributed under the belt when you walk and you end up losing your balance when it sticks a bit and so forth. f) It may say 'lubricate once a month or 1.5 months' for regular users (over 5 hours a week), but the truth is that is actually insufficient. I walk around 3.5 KPH for 3 hours a day, meaning 21 hours a week and I find I have to re-lube every week or so. Your mileage may vary (quite literally) but check often (once a week) to see if it needs more lubricant or not. (BTW mine also came shipped without oil under it, even though both the manual and the company claimed it did - so always add lube right off the bat).

It's tricky to get the belt re-adjusted after you loosen it to lubricate which is done by turning both screws to the left equal amounts and pulling the belt up to add the lubricant. After doing that you may need to realign it where it's in the middle and doesn't rub, and also need to adjust the belt so it's not too tight and not too loose. It might look aligned in the middle and once you start using it it might slide one way or the other if the belt is too loose. After lubricating turn both screws to the right equal amounts, the same number of turns you did to loosen it. It still might not be right though. Turn it on and align if needed as follows. To align: 1. If the belt is too far to the left you turn both the left screw to the right and the right screw to the left. This tightens the left side and loosens the right side. 2. If the belt is too far to the right you turn the left screw to the left and the right screw to the right. This loosens the left side and tightens the right side. If you use it and the belt starts sliding to the right or left after being aligned you re-do step 1 or 2 to re-align it, and then before you start using it tighten the belt by moving both screws to the right in equal amounts. Do this is small increments so you don't make the belt too tight. It might take several attempts re-aligning and tightening to get it right.

Great video! I've had my go plus for a couple weeks now and do about 3-4 hours per day on it during weekdays. I've applied more lubricant, but I notice the treadmill has started to warm up quite a bit after about 15 minutes of walking(like it physically gets warm). It also seems to be moving a bit slower than usual. Has anyone else experience this?

Couldn't you just lift the treadmill up to access the bottom, where the belt is already loose and exposed, and just put the lubricant there? Wouldn't it end up getting spread everywhere anyway after running the treadmill for a bit? I may be completely wrong.

How exciting! And, great question, @Winnie Lau! I did put the silicone oil/treadmill belt lubricant on the first day the treadmill arrived. Before I put the oil, I loosened the belt and decided to check to see if it already had silicone oil, and when I checked the running board under the belt, there was NOT any oil whatsoever. So, I had to add some. I decided then to add the oil that came in the treadmill packaging box (about a 1oz bottle). The oil that comes with the treadmill is in a very small tube that you will mostly use up that first time you lubricate it (I almost used the whole tube), so, for the 2nd time you add the oil (when the time comes), you will need another bottle (link in description box, for your convenience) 😉. Good luck and happy walking, @Winnie Lau!

@SuzanneChannel
@SuzanneChannel 3 жыл бұрын
Hi @kimberlydibernardo1, To be totally safe, I would follow the user manual instructions to have it over tile/hard surface or an exercise mat. I will link an exercise mat below that I found online that is around the same dimensions of *my* treadmill, but I’m not sure if it is the same dimensions as *your* treadmill and I don’t want to lead you in the wrong direction with that. So, please double-check the dimensions before purchasing. Also, I do not own this mat, so, I wish I could give you an honest review of it. However, judging from what people are saying on Amazon reviews, it looks like a good option (if the dimensions work). I hope this helps you! Good luck in your search and happy walking, kimberlydibernardo1! Exercise Equipment Mat - amzn.to/39gMgMj
@Ramesiel
@Ramesiel 2 жыл бұрын
@@SuzanneChannel Can you clarify whether use a mat, or if you're regularly using it mat-less as shown in this video? I know it's recommended to use a mat but I really really really don't want to. Having to use the mat makes it much more inconvenient to set up, as I store my treadmill away when I'm not using it. That added inconvenience is friction that makes me less likely to exercise. So much easier to just roll out the treadmill without having to mess with the mat. So I'm just wondering if you're doing this mat-less, have you had any issues as a result? Due to dust build up or anything? Thanks.

Hi, @aslam khan! :D Lubricant is an oil that you have to put under the treadmill belt but on top of the running board (not on top of the belt). The oil helps to not deteriorate the treadmill belt. If you do not add silicone oil or lubricant, the belt will deteriorate, wear down over time from the friction. Hope this helps.
