That is something most MX racers as amateurs learn how to do in their first year of racing. As a pro, it takes no more thought than putting on your socks. But he did not look real smooth on the straight before the jump, so Adam passed him.

Sometimes wins are a gift given to you and in all case's we'll take them too ! MOTOCROSS IS ALOT OF THINGS,BUT IT IS NEVER DULL, BORING OR PREDICTABLE. #307
@EarthSurferUSA5 жыл бұрын
Oh, I can predict 2 things for sure with the FIM built tracks our guys race on, that do not separate the talent. 1) you will never see somebody come from last to win again. 2) we will never win the MXofN again because our racers will not get good enough racing easy tracks, (easy for them). I would like to predict that we DEPORT THE FIM!, but we are not smart enough to do it.

It did not twich, someone jumped and hit it.
@EarthSurferUSA5 жыл бұрын
@@TripleWhopperWithCheese There is no evidence of that. You just made it up. Even in the 250 press conference one of the guys said he saw the gate do it earlier that day. If I had to guess, it was a very low budget gate, like the rest of the track. It is pretty clear to me that promotion of this race is not very good at "thinking", or that race would have been red flagged.
@TripleWhopperWithCheese5 жыл бұрын
@@EarthSurferUSA I just made that up? David Combs (owners of Lucas Pro Motocross) posted the explanation and video to prove it. That's why the race was not red flagged. You're an idiot.

@@EarthSurferUSA You're a dumbass. The gate gets carried race to race alongside the banners, bales, posts and finish line. As @Damage, Inc. said there has been a video posted of someone hitting the gate.

@@TripleWhopperWithCheese lol thanks for stating the obvious and what I already knew, but that's not what fetB nor myself were talking about... We're talking about that gate flipping forward when it was hit...
@fetB5 жыл бұрын
@Double Music since when is it suppose to flip like that? The point is to catch the rider, have him paddle back. With it flipping forward, there is hardly any punishment.
@EarthSurferUSA5 жыл бұрын
@Double Music Nobody on the right side of the doghouse hit the gate to make if flinch, (and you have no reason to believe that is what happened). It is a mechanical problem with that gate, (poor maintenance or not assembled correctly I suspect). The gate is not suppose to flip forward like that. The gate was hit, and the force sheared the bolts. Yes, he could have kept going, because the promoters were not smart enough to red flag the race and start over. That gate, and that track is more "low budget", than almost any amateur track in the nation. The gate will sheer the bolts before it will trap the front wheel? That is a junk gate man.

Crazy how the tables have turned. Adam was so fast on the minis and always beat Webb. Now Webb already ruled 250's and has a 450 sx championship and Adam still stuck in the 250 class w no championship.
@EarthSurferUSA5 жыл бұрын
It was like that with Mike Alessi and Ryan Villapoto too. Ryan never beat Mike in their amateur days while Ryan dominated the world as a pro. But, the tables may be turning again for Webb, because Adam is doing faster lap times in this series on his 250, than Webb is doing on his 450.

This must have been the conversation after the gate malfunction: AMA to promoter: "We need to red flag this race and start it over." Promoter: "No, we got the gate at a garage sale, and it will just do it again." That race would have been red flagged at any amateur event in the nation.

Hunter looked really fast. AC looked to be getting comfy for a minute in P2. Then Hunter went down. Side Note: I bet GoPro will have software to edit out the mud chunks that kill viewing experience. I imagine it will be something like the post processing stabilization thingy. If you watch Kalleb Russell (KTM GoPro factory Enduro Rider) he wipes the camera all the time while racing enduros/harescrambles. Its nutty. 5th gear through sandy woops and still remembers to clean the lens for his viewers.
