He may have shortened the shock but I'm not sure, I've shortened the shock in my FX to match the YZ250F shock, it's taller in the FX to make it turn sharper but the downside of that is instability at speed.

I was under the impression the FX was only taller to make room for the battery? How did you go about getting it down without affecting the pre load? And about how far did it drop? I'm 6'1" and still think the bike is pretty tall comparatively.

Fuckin ell what map is he running? My 2017 fx deflects in the front end a lot has he done something to get rid of deflection? His front end doesn't deflect

I don't know about Adrian but I ride a YZ250FX and I run the aggressive map on Yamaha's website, though I still find it too mellow. As to your deflecting issue I have no idea, the suspension is so soft on the FX it's practically a couch I can't imagine anyone having any deflecting issues with it. I'd suggest maybe rolling your bars back and moving your levers up? Can't guarantee it will help though.

Sowman Films I just did a race with it and it didn't deflect not one bit probs cause we did a few things to the suspension and I'm running the standard map and my elder brother finds it too aggressive but I don't I guess he just a lil bitch 😂 I might try the mud map on Yamaha website see how it is in the mud
