Your comment at the end about war, and missing it, hit home. I've spent about fifteen years trying to find a career that fulfils in the same way, offers the same comradery, the same sense of achievement, but it eludes me. I served for the better part of a decade, enlisted just before 9/11, and I miss my brothers something fierce.

Bermbuster has become Tussock buster, since there's no more access to the army grounds. Tussock buster used to be the biggest ride in Australasia, with people all round the world coming to ride .

I personally own a 125 and 250 and the 125 has more lower end but the 4 stroke in a straight line is faster, however my lap times with the 2 said otherwise, I beat the 250f by 4seconds (it’s all about the ride,2 strokes are faster)

Im from Indiana. Born and raised 20 minutes from Crawfordsville (where Ironman is held). We knew who Herlings was and were so excited to watch him race. The guy was absolutely electric and represented Europe with swag. We started the event rooting on Tomac but that quickly changed to Herlings about 2 laps into moto 2 lol

And ppl say motocross is not the most demanding and physically demanding sport you’re pushing past your limits you’re exhausted jumping jumps that are 30 to 40 feet long sometimes and crashing you expected to get right back up and walk it off like nothing happened and join the race

The best trail ride I've ever done was somewhere around Rotorua. I've done a bunch of rides around the Taupo and Rotorua areas, and only went to this particular one once and I have no idea where it was unfortunately.

could be the Tarawera trail ride out the back of Whakatane? Dirt World just next to Rainbow mountain, the tunnels trail ride over closer to Putaruru, Hamilton or Porters road, (the old abandoned roads out the back of lake Rotoiti) I think there was rides on Mt Tarawera at one stage. Burts trail ride over closer to Whakatane or there was one on a farm near Pongakawa called Pirini trail ride. I've heard stories of one up on Mt Nongataha like up in behind the zorb back in the day. Think theres a guided trail ride over near Tokoroa too. Man I am ridiculously spoiled for choice where I live!!

It was not far out of Rotorua, no idea when as it was probably 10 years ago. The south waikato/BOP area is pretty spoilt for forestry options

Put that 250 4 stroke against a 2 stroke 125 and youll find out real fast why people say 4 strokes are for lazy riders. To continuously keep a 125 on the pipe will test your lazinesss lol.
