Quick review: Shortly after watching this video I decided to buy this camera for my boyfriend's 21st birthday. The video was extremely helpful and really put things in perspective for me. I think the camera itself is incredible. My boyfriend loved it and used it right away. The mounts are incredibly strong and reliable, the picture itself is unbelievably clear, and the sound is muted just enough so that the wind isn't blaring through. This is an amazing camera perfect for any avid rider.

Each individual set up will need to be fine-tuned to best suit what you are trying to capture. Sometimes trial and error is the only way to figure out which mount or angle works best for you. ~Ali

The suction mount works great on glass, as long as it's not too curved. ~Ali

We don't have any footage using the external mic, but GoPro's site has a ton of footage on the moto page.

True, they are an investment, but most of the HD cameras out there are not cheap. Comparatively speaking, the GoPro is pretty reasonably priced for it's RockStar status.

Have you tried using it with the external mic? That should improve the quality of sound you capture.

This is an excellent camera. I have it mounted on the handlebar on my bike and it's surprisingly stable (have use the stock handlebar mount with a bit of tape around the handlebar for better grip and possibly more stability). The only problem with it is that it's hard to see if it's currently recording or not when it's facing away from you, and that it's easy to accidentally take a snapshot photo instead of a video.

Great in-depth review. Been using my digital camera to record, but the footage would get too shaky as soon as I get on freeways

No, because the mic input is on the side, you'd need to buy a separate skeleton housing from gopro that has cut holes on the side for all the connections and isn't waterproof at all, or you could DIY the stock housing and drill a hole in the side :)

I just have tried my friend's go pro. I don't have one, but I really would like to see a video recorded with a external mic to hear the difference (a motorcycle video for example, I like to hear the engine)

What is the included with the Moto edition versus just the regular GoPro....I am thinking about buying a used one but am not sure what accessories I will need out side of the actual GoPro (looking at the GoPro2)..Sound slike it is the 3x different mounts.....thoughts?

Isn't it hard to aim this properly without the back pack? I don't wanna be out sledding and miss a ton of footage because of that.

I've found some videos, in particularly one recorded with a U$ 2,00 mic in a CBR 600 and it's amazing how much better the sound is, just what I want. Now I jut need some money to buy the camera =P

The only thing that I can´t like on this camera is the horrible audio quality. Doesn't matter what you are recording, the result is always a crap.
