Been a big fan of Clarks photos for some time. Got to go to his gallery last week while on vacation in Hawaii and was awestruck by his photos. Some of my prints arrived today and am loving them in the office. Cant wait til the print on aluminum that I ordered to arrive.

Looks like the waves we get here in Delaware, but bigger. 5 second ride then you get smashed between the wave and a slanted beach, all as the water pulls out real fast on you to churn you up again. Fun stuff. Thnx for the video

In the gopro manual it recommends rainx or something of the sort. they said it helps when using it on cars and vehicles so i guess it could work for this. hope it helps

@miltabib I've never had any issues with my GoPro after it was submerged. The tension of the water seemed to always pull away in a sheet. The only time I have had issues was in rain or snow where single drops hit the lens. I haven't done salt water, just a lake and my kitchen sink when I first got it, but I would assume it would be very similar. RainX works on my windshield quite well. Big drops fall away quickly, but it seems to pick up mist easier.

@HapplyFace That makes sense. But would that also effect the color? Most of my stuff seems flat even if I'm shooting in morning sunlight. Maybe I need some software that I can edit color to bring it out?

There's a pistol grip which has a little trigger (all waterproof) attached to the camera inside, that then trips the shutter on the camera.

@nikiivanov I wish but as far as I know I'm not editing any color. I'm shooting at 720p @ 30fps on using windows live movie maker on windows 7. I mostly do photography so figuring out the video stuff has been a new adventure. Would using an SDHC instead of just a regular SD card help?

@will32890 Well 60fps improves lots of thing but they have final cut pro where you can edit colors extensively in imovie you can edit the colors to some degree but not dramatically

@will32890 They are filming in 720p at 60 fps (r3) which gives the images a MUCH sharper look when something in frame is moving fast. (waves) 30fps is no good unless you are filming something that hardly moves or moves at like jogging speed or everything will be a little blurry
