Hi Danny, Are these settings good if you wanted to start at sunset? and if not do you have any recommendations?

Do you recommend the 10? I've got an 8, but have been thinking about buying a second Go Pro.
@MrBlackReviews3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely the 10 is really nice… be depending on how much action you are doing, the 9 is also a nice upgrade (with the front screen, custom presets etc)

Hi Danny thank you for your content. I'm try to make a 10 week time lapse of plants growing, do you have any recommendations? Is the GoPro Hero10 a good choice for this timelapse?
@EverythingIsPhotogenic3 жыл бұрын
I'm impressed with the quality output on small format. It's a GoPro and low light performance is pretty dismal, but watching the timelapses on a small screen look pretty good. They get a little noisy and blocky on a larger screen (I am sure some of that is just good ole KZbin compression) but not terrible at all! I kind of dismissed using nightlapse assuming it would be unusable... it doesn't replace a DSLR/Mirrorless to be sure, but if you just want to set something and forget it with low liability equipment-wise, this is a great solution! Perfect for KZbin, Instagram etc. You've sold this kermudgen on trying it out 😁
@MrBlackReviews2 жыл бұрын
thanks so much ::) yea it doesnt replace a DSLR but its soooo much easier to just leave out.. and if its a really dark area and the gopro is perfectly still you get some amazing results... on my video i got a little lazy and downloaded my youtube video from youtube instead of busting out the hard drive so it lost a little qualtiy lol 🤦♂️

What do you think about using a cheap medium sized cardboard box and cutting it to requirements to cover the Hero 9 or 10 to save having to tape up the type C port and cable? Just a humble suggestion. Oh, and as always a big thumbs up 👍

For doing the night lapse video, what are the advantage that you notice using the flat color profile vs GoPro color?
@MrBlackReviews2 жыл бұрын
with the flat profile its a little less noisy. and usually you can like add saturation when editing or like in instagram etc.

Danny that was a great video - I am excited to give it a go! May I ask - what was the difference between the 9 & ‘flat’ setting and the 10 & ‘natural’?

oh snapmounts will be perfect!! you will laugh because it doesnt take up much room at all.. if its a video.. you are talking less than 5 gbs.. maybe even like 1GB... pics are the same... because its a pic every 30 seconds... and in video mode its like 1 min of 4k video lol

I’m sure I’ve asked this before, but why is it that you can have your gopro plugged in while recording, but mine doesn’t work unless I’m not recording?? Am I missing something??
@MrBlackReviews2 жыл бұрын
so check this out because i just found out... when you plug it in and hit record... the charging icon dissapears, but it is still charging... hit record, and then take out the battery, youll see its stays on and recording. i think its just a glitch in recording mode... (maybe to keep people from doing it because it could get hot in some circumstances)

Anyone had any issues with frost (or dew) forming on the lens while shooting time lapses with GoPro? I just reacently got my Hero 10 and I'm looking forward to shoot my first nightlapse. It's quite winterish already at least here in the northern Finland and I'm curious to find out whether or not the frost will be an issue. I always use additional heating element on my primary camera's lens as frost (or dew if not below 0'C) is a common problem with timelapses in cold and/or moist conditions. And for Danny, keep up the good work :)

Hi Danny! Can you make a tutorial for the Photo settings and edition for a Night Timelapse? It gets significantly better quality and light and with RAW is even better, and you can even make appear the Milky Way I think, pls that video would be very helpful 🙏🏻🙏🏻 you are the best man
@MrBlackReviews2 жыл бұрын
hi Santiago! if you can check out the video link in the description, i did one where i took the pics into my editing software, the tricky part is that not everyone uses the same software, i use FCPX but the idea is pretty much the same. you get all your photos on a timeline, and then make them only 2 frames per photo

@@steo.ouseph just checked ... looks good.. but ya that red dot... i almost think it was actually something that was in the sky! some kind of stationary satellite? very bizzare. the other lights that kept flashing on the sides might have impacted the footage a little too. so maybe try with a 15s shutter and see if that helps...
