How did it work? I found this review extremeley helpful! Thank you! 8:11 I just wanted to touch on a point you made about why these action Cameras are needed. I record alot of video from Roller Coasters, and something like a chest mounted Go Pro is essential to making sure I'm recording in a safe manner. Phone simply can't be used in a safe manner on a Roller Coaster. The Go Pro Max would allow me to not just record the ride, but my facial expressions also.

Amazing review. Obviously the Hero has better audio, but my question is, what is the best 360 camera for internal mic quality? If you change settings on the GoPro Max's bit rate, the quality is much better. It is by default on low, so you have to change it.

This pretty much solidifies my choice in getting the 10, I wear mine on my chin of my helmet so 360 would do no good. Plus the audio being more distorted by the max would just annoy me. The minimal stability difference doesn’t outweigh all the positives of the 10

Great Review! I'm looking to get one of these, for a family trip to London in a couple weeks. So, your example footage is PERFECT... I want something for doing 360 videos (to watch in VR), but I also want something to record CNC jobs (and a live webcam to monitor them). So, it's a hard decision. I'm thinking about maybe getting the Max for the 360 videos, and then just get an older hero for the CNC/Webcam stuff..... What to do, what to do.....

I ride horses in a discipline called team sorting. We chase cows around a arena. Lots of zig zaging and chasing. Which camera to you recommend. The 10 or the Max? I'm also sitting like 6ft off the ground on top of the horse. I really want the quality of the camera. Will the 10 do ok with me shooting while riding a horse?

if there's loads of movement then the Max. But you need to learn to edit and it takes a bit of time

1. No it doesn't. That's only possible with a 360 camera 2. Yeah it has horizon lock

1. Nope. 2. Yes but only to a certain degree. If you want to have the full horizontal lock you will need the Max Lens Mod for the GoPro

I went to get my GoPro 9 I saw that GoPro Max I saw the video and I instantly filled up with the max. I feel that the GoPro line the regular one is obsolete because GoPro Max always gives you the best footage without you necessary being in the frame I've used that mountain biking and even surfing it is the best

Even right now the GoPro Max is still better than the GoPro hero 10 to achieve this you have to buy a bunch of add-ons just to get what the GoPro Max does. And on top of it you get full 360 coverage at 5K I know it's not 6K but still you don't have to worry you're always going to get a great video shot

@@gatway100 Agree for what its made. You need 360 rather than H. It doesn't mean H obsolete in every aspect and Max better than H. It's for different purpose. But the image quality, far below H. If audio is your main focus, you should never rely on the internal microphone of any action camera. They are physically limited by their size and will never produce high quality audio no matter the settings you use. For high quality audio recordings you need to use an external microphone.
