I think the biggest advantage of the Go2 is that above its size is that it is easy to mount it anywhere. For instance it is much easier to stick it on a car - the gopro has bigger mounts. So the Go2 you can easily remove and place it on a different part.

I have the gopro 8, osmo action, and onex 2. one x 2 is the best action cam for me. Lots of features and tricks you can do. People would asks me if it was a drone shot or what app i use. As you mentioned most people use their phones so you can only see a difference on video quality when viewing on computer monitors.

All I'd say is that if you had zoomed the One X2 to a similar FOV to the GoPro when you were among the trees, the ~1080P footage would have looked super blocky and nasty... you do mention this in the video but actually seeing it would help folks understand what they would be buying into 😊

I have a One R with both the 1" and the 360° lens modules, and just ordered a new GoPro Hero 10. I think I'll have the best of all the worlds with that setup on my motorcycle. I'm also planning to start motovloging, I have a lot to say. I'll use the GoPro for it's view quality on a chin mount and the One R with the 360° module for cool views at many places on the bike, and the One R with the 1" for better night shots. That will be a fun journey.

Ben you probably won't like my comment but as a long time ( > 1 year) user of an Insta360 One X (and GoPro 9) my main gripe which no influencer seems to want to talk about with the One X and One X2 is the massive smear line whenever the sun is in the shot, especially if the sun is partly behind trees or between buildings. You can see it on the X2 in your clips too, so partly thank you, I won't bother upgrading as it has not been fixed. But it's a massive issue, it ruins many shots and photos and unsure why you did not mention it? Also you mention the non-usable files from these cameras just in passing but the truth is, for me and many other people, the video processing time is a deal breaker, I shot 15 mins on a One X, it needed something close to 3 hours to make it Final Cut friendly but then I needed 2 hours + to "transcode" it and make a proxy... it's awful to work with.

What's the deal with the skin tones on the One R? Funky white balance?

This is weird, because at the start of the video, the ONE R 1" had the most detailed images. Then later on it was worse than the Go Pro. Maybe as the camera is close to overheating, it lowers the throughput of the sensor to help reduce the temps (This one was thoughtful). Or the camera is good only when there is good light (or when there is no shadows). Thus it can crank up the shutter speed and have crisper images, so it doesn't look blurry when you move. Nevertheless, it is a very good pocket camera to shoot timelapse/hyperlapse on the go. As it is static, you shouldn't have to much issue with blur.

I think you have with out a doubt shown you need more than 1 type of camera for different situations. Can't believe the audio still sucks so bad on the ONE R and really, any Insta camera. :). Just for fun you should do a GoPro 7,8,9,10 video(I know you just did 8/9/10 one, but I would like to see the 7 in there)...against say the Osmo Action and a cell phone?
